Position Summary:

The Junior Business Analyst is an early-career implementation role focused on building deep platform fluency, strong documentation habits, and a working command of payor clinical workflows within Elligint Health's Client Experience organization.

Reporting to the Business Analyst Team Lead, you will work within a blended pod alongside US-based and offshore team members and contractors, partnering closely with Senior Business Analysts, Project Managers, and our Learning Services team. You will participate in every phase of the implementation lifecycle — attending client and internal sessions as a prepared, engaged contributor, executing defined configuration tasks, and producing the documentation and reusable artifacts that anchor the team's shared knowledge base. Growth in this role is measured by increasing configuration independence, documentation quality, and readiness to take on the full BA scope.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute setup and configuration tasks on assigned workstreams under the guidance of the BA Team Lead or Senior Business Analyst, ensuring every configuration decision is traceable to a documented requirement and validated before handoff.
  • Attend client-facing sessions — including requirements workshops, process design sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT) meetings — as a prepared, engaged participant that responds to questions clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with business users, implementation teams, and technical resources to gather and document client business requirements, with support from senior team members on complex or ambiguous scope.
  • Develop current-state and future-state workflow diagrams, business process maps, and other visual documentation that accurately reflect client operations and platform configuration design.
  • Produce and maintain functional specifications, gap analyses, and configuration documentation under the review of the BA Team Lead or Senior Business Analyst — contributing completed artifacts to the team’s shared library.
  • Participate in system testing and UAT — executing defined test cases, logging defects accurately, and supporting defect triage under senior direction.
  • Assess current-state business processes and flag opportunities for workflow optimization or automation, surfacing observations to the BA Team Lead for evaluation.
  • Support the development of training materials and change-management resources related to new or modified workflows, in partnership with the Learning Services team.
  • Track time accurately against assigned implementations, logging effort by project and workstream.
  • Contribute reusable diagrams, templates, and process documentation to the team's shared artifact library.
  • Actively build platform knowledge and payor clinical domain expertise through available training resources, team learning sessions, and peer mentorship.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in and exposure to healthcare, health IT, or payor/provider operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured, organized approach to configuration and documentation work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and accurately.
  • Ability to learn new software platforms quickly and applying that knowledge under guidance.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures, including with offshore team members.
  • Willingness to ask questions and surface ambiguity early rather than make assumptions.
  • U.S. citizenship and successful submission and approval of 'Public Trust' federal clearance, per client contractual requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree. Preferably in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience in and exposure to LTSS environments.
  • Familiarity with business process mapping or workflow documentation tools (e.g. Figjam or similar).
  • Coursework or experience related to business analysis, systems implementation, or project coordination.
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence or similar documentation and ticketing tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) participation
  • Hybrid role based in our Edison, NJ office
  • We cannot sponsor visa applications for this role but are happy to support any independent efforts to obtain work authorization
  • Opportunity to join a rapidly growing company and shape its future
