Strategic Projects Lead

Our client is looking for their first Head of Operations, you will drive the execution of high-impact marketplace projects, working directly with the founding team. You’ll own relationships with top AI labs and enterprise customers, while also scaling our internal workforce of labelers and domain experts.

This role is ideal for someone with a finance background who thrives in fast-paced, high-intensity startup environments. We are looking for a “Swiss army knife” growth operator - someone who embraces experimentation, moves quickly, is highly analytical, and can balance short-term execution with long-term strategy.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute operational workflows to recruit, vet, and manage hundreds of domain experts and labelers across finance, healthcare, and other specialized fields.

  • Communicate directly with top AI labs on large-scale projects.

  • Partner with engineers to develop our workforce platform for expert annotation and search.

  • Drive the integration of expert data into reinforcement learning environments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong finance background (preferred degree in Finance & prior work in IB, PE, VC, or hedge funds).

  • Previous experience in data operations, particularly workforce management, data labeling, or model evaluation.

  • Proven leadership experience driving large-scale projects with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute initiatives from the ground up, with sharp attention to detail.

  • Willingness to work 6 days a week, in-person in San Francisco.

  • Open to candidates fresh out of a top university through approximately 3 years of professional experience.

Life at My Client

  • Ownership: As the first Strategic Projects Lead, you’ll be directly responsible for driving significant ARR. You’ll have substantial ownership over multiple parts of the business and will quickly grow into managing additional Strategic Projects Leads.

  • Location: In-person role based in San Francisco, with office views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

  • Culture: A tight-knit, high-speed environment. The team moves fast, collaborates closely, and frequently organizes activities outside of work. Expect long hours and a 6-day work week.
