Technical Recruiter

Remote (US)

About Elly

Elly is rethinking how startups hire. We combine close, hands-on recruiting with our own AI platform to help ambitious teams find and hire exceptional talent - faster and with more signal than a traditional agency.

We work side by side with founders and hiring leaders, bringing focus, momentum, and a thoughtful candidate experience to every search.

The role

We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to lead engineering searches across our growing client roster, from founding engineers to senior and principal talent. You’ll own each search from kickoff through close, partnering directly with founders and engineering leaders to turn hiring goals into great hires.

This is a chance to do high-impact recruiting while helping shape the playbooks, processes, and AI-powered tools that will define how Elly scales.

What you’ll do

  • Lead full-cycle searches across software engineering, including full-stack, backend, AI/ML, and infrastructure roles
  • Partner with founders and hiring managers to sharpen role requirements, calibrate profiles, and keep decisions moving
  • Build thoughtful sourcing strategies and write outreach that earns candidates’ attention
  • Assess candidates’ technical experience, motivation, and fit, then share clear, candid recommendations with clients
  • Guide candidates through interviews, offers, and closing with a personal, high-touch experience
  • Keep pipelines, feedback, and next steps organized in Greenhouse and Elly’s own tools
  • Improve our recruiting playbooks and find practical ways to use AI throughout the hiring process

About you

  • You have 4+ years of recruiting experience, ideally a mix of agency and small tech startup
  • You’ve hired software engineers and can speak comfortably about technologies, systems, and engineering levels
  • You’re a strong sourcer with good judgment about what makes an engineer stand out
  • You’re organized, responsive, and able to keep several searches moving without losing the details
  • You communicate clearly and warmly with both candidates and clients
  • You’re curious about AI and eager to put new tools to work

Nice to have

  • Experience recruiting for early-stage startups or founding roles
  • Agency or multi-client recruiting experience
