We’re hiring a Senior Chart Editor to join our Content team at EMARKETER.

As senior chart editor, you will be responsible for ensuring our charts and graphics are accurate, methodologically sound, and visually impactful. You’ll work closely with our Director of Data Visualization, analysts, and researchers to fact-check and refine charts using various in-house and third-party platforms. You’ll also apply advanced data visualization and project management skills to drive internal process improvements and new content initiatives. This position involves editing, data analysis, data visualization, and project management. 

This is a hybrid role working from our New York City HQ at One Liberty Plaza two times a week, reporting to the Director of Data Visualization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit charts and graphics to ensure they are accurate, well-designed, and insightful.
  • Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and other editors to create, verify, and refine data visuals.
  • Uphold EMARKETER style and research standards across data, charts, and graphics.
  • Champion and model high-quality data visualization across the Content team.
  • Learn and adopt new data visualization tools and graphics editing tools as required.
  • Identify opportunities for design and process improvements.
  • Train and mentor chart editors on best practices in chart production, data accuracy, and company style.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of data visualization and/or copy editing experience
  • Excellent data visualization judgment
  • Strong copy-editing and writing skills
  • Data-literate and comfortable with structured data sets; basic Excel proficiency (e.g., common functions/formulas, formatting)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Datawrapper or similar) and graphics software (Adobe Illustrator or similar) preferred
  • Familiarity with B2B content, market research, and business writing a plus
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $70,000–$76,000 
  • Salary for the role is commensurate with experience and depends on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
