We’re hiring a Vice President, Insights to join our Content and Insights team at EMARKETER.
The Role and Team:
The VP, Insights leads EMARKETER’s long-form analyst desks, setting the vision and standards for industry-leading research across advertising, media, and commerce. This role is responsible for ensuring content delivers clear customer value through actionable insights, comparative analysis, and strong storytelling. Partnering closely with Edit, Data Products, Marketing, Product, Media, and Sales, the VP, Insights elevates the impact of EMARKETER’s research across the industry.
This is a hybrid role based out of our New York City office, with regular in office expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end long-form content strategy, ensuring reports are built for maximum client utility and relevance.
- Guide the evolution toward high-value, customer-centric research with clear comparisons and actionable recommendations.
- Align analyst coverage and resources to priority market segments and customer use cases.
- Own and contribute to flagship, cross-functional research initiatives and high-impact reports.
- Build and manage a high-performing team of analysts, developing both established voices and emerging talent.
- Oversee analyst workflows and capacity across research, media engagement, and client advisory.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools and processes to improve research efficiency and maintain high quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with Edit, Data Products, and cross-functional partners to maximize the business impact of EMARKETER content.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Leadership experience within research, media, insights, or management consulting environments.
- Demonstrated success managing and developing teams of analysts or subject matter experts.
- Deep understanding of advertising, marketing, media, or commerce industries.
- Strong ability to interpret data, develop insights, and tell compelling data-driven stories.
- Comfort presenting thought leadership to senior audiences, clients, and at industry events.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint for executive storytelling and Excel for data analysis.
- Practical experience with, or strong curiosity about, AI-driven research and productivity tools.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future. Candidates must be within commuting distance of our New York City office. Relocation assistance is not available.
Salary & Benefits:
- Base salary: $240,000–$260,000, dependent on skills, experience, and competencies.
- Additional performance-based compensation available (details discussed during interview process)
