Role Overview

The Head of Ecosystem is a critical leadership role responsible for building, scaling, and activating Agora’s external ecosystem, including strategic partners, developer communities, technology alliances, system integrators, and regional enablers such as resellers and ISVs. This leader will design and execute a global ecosystem strategy that drives revenue, accelerates product adoption, and expands Agora’s influence in the real-time and AI infrastructure market.

You will work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Solutions, Developer Relations, Marketing, and Legal to design and execute on programs, partnerships, and motions that create leverage across regions and verticals. You are part ecosystem strategist, part operator, and part diplomat—with a deep understanding of platform businesses and B2B2C growth models.

Key Responsibilities:

Ecosystem Strategy & Platform Growth

  • Architect and lead a unified ecosystem strategy aligned with Agora’s roadmap in real-time infrastructure, conversational AI, and multi-modal agents (voice, video, avatars, chat, LLMs, etc.)
  • Define the partner and developer ecosystem as a growth lever, supporting both direct and indirect Go-to-Market (GTM) models
  • Identify and build a prioritized ecosystem portfolio including the following providers Cloud infrastructure (GPU/CPU), LLM, Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech, Avatars, workflow builders, and AI-native SIs

AI Partner Development & Enablement

  • Lead co-innovation initiatives with AI partners—initially around voice agents leveraging a chained model for LLM integration (e.g., STT/TTS).
  • Partner with field and product team on engaging and winning key partnerships for Agora in the B2B and B2C voice agent space (e.g., a16z, YC recent investments).
  • Define integration frameworks and go-to-market motions for AI-native partners, including technical validation, value proposition design, and scaled deployment models
  • Partner with Product, Legal, and Security to shape compliant, privacy-forward approaches for third-party data, model inputs/outputs, and AI-driven interactions

Developer & Builder Community Expansion

  • Build out a market-leading developer and community presence in San Francisco in the AI focused developer ecosystem.
  • Work closely with Developer Relations to grow a global builder community across AI, real-time engagement, and embedded experiences (AIoT)
  • Champion programs like SDK accelerators, prompt libraries, dev grants, or community-led innovation labs
  • Help define Agora’s public presence across GitHub, Hugging Face, Discord, LangChain integrations, and edge AI infrastructure forums

Strategic Alliances & Industry Adoption

  • Forge strategic alliances with leading vertical-specific AI platforms (e.g., edtech tutors, healthcare diagnostics, gaming copilots, social metaverse tools)
  • Launch lighthouse partner programs to showcase end-to-end conversational AI solutions powered by Agora’s SDKs + partner APIs
  • Support strategic bets in live shopping, language learning, and AIoT.

Platform Extensibility & Marketplace Strategy

  • Launch and scale a partner program for third-party extensions, plugins, and AI-driven modules (e.g., language translation, safety filters, behavior scoring)
  • Define monetization and integration models (working with Product) for a future Agora Ecosystem Marketplace (starting with open source and scaling to commercial partner add-ons)
  • Collaborate with Product and Solutions teams to standardize on interfaces to optimally support extensibility

Internal Alignment & Operationalization

  • Clearly align with Product on categories where we partner vs. build internally
  • Drive cross-functional planning and reporting across Sales, Solutions, Product, Marketing, and Legal to operationalize the ecosystem vision
  • Influence C-level stakeholders with business cases, ecosystem pipeline metrics, and partner performance scorecards
  • Ensure the ecosystem becomes a predictable revenue influence channel, with defined stages for recruitment, activation, enablement, and scaling

About You:

  • 10+ years of experience in ecosystem, partnerships, platform GTM, or developer strategy roles (preferably in PaaS, SaaS, cloud infra, or dev tools)
  • Track record of building high-impact partnerships and community-led growth
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate abstract growth opportunities into scalable programs
  • Comfortable operating globally across cultures, with the ability to align stakeholders in the U.S., China, and Europe
  • Technical fluency with APIs, SDKs, Real-time Communications (voice /video), and AI infrastructure—comfortable in conversations with product, developers, and GTM teams alike
  • A builder: you know how to start small, scale fast, and bring others along for the ride

US Salary Details:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
