Position Overview
Aksia is seeking an experienced investment professional to join the Pan-Alternatives team to focus on Aksia’s strategic client relationships across the Americas and development of new relationships in Latin America. The Pan-Alternatives team at Aksia is responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing advisory relationships with large, sophisticated investors, by bringing together the resources of the firm for the benefit of each client. The team not only works with existing clients on the development and implementation of their alternative investment portfolios but is also the central point for the marketing and business development efforts of the firm.
This position can be remote or based in one of our office locations, including our New York headquarters or San Diego, and reports directly to the Head of Pan-Alternative Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of client relationships including strategic planning and advice and communication and coordination across the firm to execute on deliverables
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional investor clients throughout the Americas, and Latin American prospects
- Develop a strategic plan for Aksia’s options to approach the Latin American alternatives market
- Presenting to prospective clients, developing customized marketing materials and actively engaging prospects on an ongoing basis with a focus in Latin America
- Continually developing knowledge and expertise of new funds, strategies and investment opportunities to help clients meet their specific objectives
Qualifications
- 8+ years of investment experience with in-depth knowledge of alternative strategies, specifically private equity, private credit, real assets, real estate, and/or hedge funds
- Knowledge of and relationships with institutional investors in the LatAm region
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
- Highly motivated and organized
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage projects independently
- Attentive to detail
- Strong excel skills
- Effective writing and communication skills, including native or highly proficient Spanish language skills
- Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic
