Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Revenue Accountant to manage and enhance our revenue recognition processes. This role will be critical in ensuring compliance with ASC 606, supporting complex revenue transactions, and partnering cross‑functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise and experience in high-growth, multi-element revenue environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute day‑to‑day accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and performing account reconciliations
  • Support the order‑to‑cash cycle, including invoicing, billing, cash application, aging analysis, and collections to optimize cash flow
  • Lead revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including evaluation of performance obligations and revenue timing
  • Review and interpret customer contracts, including non‑standard terms, to ensure proper accounting treatment under GAAP
  • Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and reconciliations, including deferred revenue and contract balances
  • Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end revenue close processes, including variance analysis and reporting
  • Analyze revenue trends and key metrics to provide insights and support business decision‑making
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Operations to ensure alignment between contracts, billing, and revenue recognition
  • Evaluate and document accounting treatment for complex transactions, including preparation of technical accounting memos
  • Support audits, maintain SOX-compliant controls, and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required)
  • CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred 

Experience:

A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on revenue accounting experience 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of GAAP, with strong understanding of revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle)
  • Experience with revenue automation tools and CRM (e.g., NetSuite ARM, Zuora and SalesForce) a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Public accounting experience preferred

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle (preferred)
  • General proficiency in standard office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a standard office environment
  • Ability to use a computer and sit for extended periods
  • Participate in virtual or in‑person meetings as required
