What you’ll do… 

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive data center initiatives from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, budget, and timelines.
  • Oversee strategic planning and execution of data center projects, collaborating with stakeholders across IT, engineering, operations, and compliance teams.
  • Manage multiple project streams, including infrastructure deployment, capacity planning, and vendor coordination to support scalable growth.
  • Develop and implement processes to optimize data center performance, operational resilience, and cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, security standards, and compliance measures.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure seamless execution and delivery of projects.
  • Provide leadership in data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization, presenting key findings and project updates to leadership and stakeholders. 

You should have... 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Construction Management, or a related field (i.e. Civil Engineering, Telecommunications, etc.)  
  • 3+ years of experience in program/project management within data centers, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations, including capacity planning, infrastructure management, commissioning, and vendor coordination.
  • Expertise in working with Hyperscalers, colocation providers, enterprise IT environments, and cloud service providers.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving real estate, construction, IT, and finance teams.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for project execution and stakeholder engagement. 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Advanced degree in a technical field, or business administration (MBA)
  • Proven experience with data center negotiation strategies and execution
  • Demonstrated expertise in data center leasing and related transactions
  • Education & Credentials: B.S. (or higher) in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture; PMP, CCM, LEED AP, and OSHA 30 highly valued.
  • Mission‑Critical Experience: 3–5yrs total construction management, with ≥3 yrs leading data‑center or other 24/7, mission‑critical builds.
  • MEP & Infrastructure Expertise: Fluency in power (UPS, generators), HVAC/cooling, and low‑voltage/IT coordination; hands‑on with Level 1–5 commissioning.
  • Owner’s‐Side Leadership: Proven track record acting as the client/owner’s voice—overseeing GCs, controlling scope, cost, schedule, and risk on fast‑track projects.
  • Project Controls Proficiency: Primavera P6 or MS Project for schedules; cost/change management in Procore or similar; adept with BIM (Revit/Navisworks) and Bluebeam.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Skills: Clear, persuasive communicator who can drive alignment among design teams, trades, and executive stakeholders.
  • Soft Skills: Decisive, detail‑oriented, and calm under pressure; proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions that protect budget, schedule, and quality.
