Head of Pricing & Packaging

Overview: As the Head of Pricing & Packaging, you will be responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies and packaging solutions that maximize revenue, enhance market competitiveness, and drive customer acquisition and retention. This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the cybersecurity industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Pricing Development:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that align with Axonius’s business objectives and market positioning.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor pricing to inform pricing decisions and adjustments.
    • Conduct regular pricing reviews and adjustments based on performance metrics, market changes, and feedback.
  • Packaging & Product Offering:
    • Design and optimize packaging strategies that effectively convey the value proposition of Axonius’s solutions to different customer segments.
    • Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing teams to ensure packaging aligns with product features, benefits, and target markets.
    • Develop pricing models and tiered packaging structures that support enterprise and SMB customer segments, and specific industry verticals 
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Lead market research initiatives to gather insights on customer preferences, competitive pricing, and industry trends.
    • Utilize data-driven approaches to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make data-backed recommendations.
    • Conduct pricing research via customer and 3rd party surveys, customer and prospect interviews, and internal data analysis
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Sales, Finance, Product Management, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on pricing and packaging strategies.
    • Provide guidance and support to the Sales team on pricing negotiations, discounting strategies, and value communication.
  • Revenue Growth & Profitability:
    • Identify opportunities for revenue growth through pricing optimization and innovative packaging solutions.
    • Monitor and analyze the impact of pricing changes on sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Communication & Training:
    • Develop and deliver training materials to internal teams on pricing strategies, packaging changes, and value propositions.
    • Communicate pricing updates and strategies clearly to ensure consistent understanding and execution across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Seasoned B2B SaaS product marketer, including a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in pricing, packaging, or related roles within the technology or cybersecurity industry. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies. This person will be first-in-role for pricing and packaging with the Product Marketing organization, and must effectively partner with leaders across the business at all levels, including C-Suite. 
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • In-depth understanding of market dynamics, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis in the cybersecurity space.
    • Experience with pricing software and tools is a plus.

Axonius is committed to fair and equitable compensation packages. A candidate’s salary will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. In addition to a competitive salary, our packages include stock options, attractive benefits, and an annual bonus.

Annual Salary Range (does not include bonus or equity)

$190,000 - $220,000 USD
