Senior Corporate IT Systems Engineer

The IT Systems Engineering team is responsible for enabling efficient and compliant operations across Axonius. We focus on delivering and managing critical SaaS applications, endpoint compliance, and  identity and access management (IAM) solutions to support our global workforce.

About the Role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our identity platform and corporate SaaS applications. In this position, you will partner with business users and other technology teams to support, grow, and implement Corporate IT systems and infrastructure, including products such as Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian Product Suite (Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie), Zendesk, Slack, Zoom, and other industry leading products. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and compliance of our systems while delivering a seamless user experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise for Corporate systems and lead all technical aspects of engineering, maintenance, and management of the applications and solutions.
  • Lead the design, management and administration of the Corporate IT systems, including educating technical team members and users.
  • Manage the administration, day-to-day operations, and troubleshooting of SaaS applications, endpoint management, and identity processes
  • Develop and maintain automation processes related to identity lifecycle, application configuration, and data management. 
  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Lead meetings and document agenda tasks / notes with various stakeholders, aid in translating business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Responsible for standard configuration, user administration, security, workflow, data management and integrations for applications such as Okta, Slack, Zendesk, Jira and Confluence
  • Troubleshoot and reference 3rd party vendor support documentation on API integrations 
  • Manage configuration of new SaaS systems in Okta to streamline delivery of services to the user community
  • Lead incident response and problem resolution for various applications
  • Partner with Security & CyberSecurity Assurance to enforce strict cross platform security and audit controls.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience as an IT professional including knowledge of Service Desk operations and procedures. 
    • 6+ years of SaaS application administration and ownership of Enterprise IT applications and tools (example: Atlassian, Google, Okta, Slack, Zendesk, etc.)
    • 5+ years of experience with Okta administration and configuring SAML, SSO, Automation, Provisioning, De-Provisioning of Accounts
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with a Okta Workflows, Access Request designs, and orchestration tools
    • 4+ years of experience with scripting languages such as C#, Python, Powershell, etc
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of common enterprise applications such as Atlassian, Google Workspace, Intune, Jamf, Slack and Zoom. Deep understanding of SCIM protocol, APIs, and identity and security best practices.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor team members. Drive strategic initiatives and assist with budgetary planning. 
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage and deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to contribute to strategic IT planning and decision-making. Identify ways to innovate and improve existing processes.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge transfer.
  • Travel and On-Call: Must be willing to travel internationally and support a globally dispersed workforce as part of an on-call rotation.

Key Relationships:

  • Collaborate with IT management to define and implement IT strategy.
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure system security.
  • Work closely with HR and business units to understand and meet their identity and access needs.
  • Ensure the security, compliance, and availability of our SaaS workloads.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall success and innovation of the IT department.

Annual Salary Range (does not include bonus or equity)

$150,000 - $165,000 USD
