Clearance:
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Job Description:
In this position as a Staff Accountant, you will provide day-to-day accounting, reconciliation, documentation, and audit support to maintain audit-ready financial records. In this position, you will also:
- Perform routine reconciliations of general ledger and subsidiary accounts
- Assist with preparing and posting adjusting journal entries and transaction corrections
- Support the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and data calls
- Assist with property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) tracking and depreciation updates
- Support audit sample gathering and documentation packaging
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and internal control evidence
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with federal accounting standards and audit requirements
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 2 years of DoD/DoW financial management experience.
- 1 year of experience working with federal financial systems (e.g., GFEBS, DDRS, DCAS).
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of federal accounting processes and standards.
- Experience performing reconciliations and maintaining financial documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, audit-focused environment.
- Exposure to AI-enabled financial tools or automation workflows.
- Experience supporting Provided-By-Client (PBC) packages or audit sample preparation.
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
