How You’ll Make An Impact

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing the activities of multiple software development teams for software application enhancements and new products. You will work with internal and external partners on the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of UI in Boomi.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform a light amount of HR responsibilities for team members and leaders.
  • Establish goals and expectations for team members and leaders that align with company policies and standards.
  • Coach and mentor team members and leaders to help identify and achieve career growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to establish and synergize team charters with achievable goals and strategy that align with the company objectives.
  • Plan, prioritize, and coordinate development activities and delivery of customer value with other business functions including Support, Customer Success, and Product.
  • Monitor progress, identify challenges, and recommend adjustments to the plan based on actionable engineering metrics.
  • Foster an environment that enable teams to collaborate and achieve results while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
  • Be accountable for outcomes and culture across multiple teams.
  • Possess a basic understanding of the architectural and technical foundations of your area of ownership.
  • Advocate to maintain and advance Technical Excellence, e.g. Observability, Scalability, and Stability.
  • Iterate and contribute to a system that allow teams to focus on value creation.

The Experience You Bring

  • Experience mentoring team members in their professional growth.
  • Experience mentoring people leaders in their professional growth.
  • Experience with agile and lean development practices in a multi-team context.
  • Evangelist of test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps principles as core deliverables.
  • Experience developing and maintaining large scale software systems in production.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including one on ones with team members, and asynchronous communication with other teams.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • 6+ years experience in software development.
  • 4+ years experience in people leadership.
  • Familiarity with change management approaches for rolling out organizational changes.
  • Experience in building and managing web UI applications using UI frameworks (e.g. React, Angular or similar framework).
  • Experience implementing/driving modern UI development practices.
  • Nice to Have: Experience working in SaaS environment.
  • Nice to Have: Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g AWS).
