How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Field Engineer in our Global Field Engineering expert team, you will be the primary technical engine driving Boomi’s most strategic and complex customer engagements. By translating extreme technical complexity into strategic solutions, you ensure that Boomi is positioned as the leader in data activation. Your work will directly scale global technical expertise by converting high-tier engagements into reusable assets that empower the entire organization to scale with speed and precision.

The ideal candidate is an expert of the Boomi ecosystem with a proven track record of navigating architectural hurdles to drive revenue attainment. We are looking for an elite technical expert who can bridge the gap between field requirements and product innovation, possessing the executive presence to engage C-suite personas while maintaining the discipline to "productize" complex solutions into workshops and blueprints. You must be able to manage role ambiguity, staying focused on strategic architecture while fostering a culture of curiosity and resilient community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Elite Technical Proficiency: Deep, hands-on command of the Boomi portfolio (iPaaS, Data Management, API Management). This role requires advanced coding skills (Java, Groovy, JavaScript, or Python) to extend platform capabilities and build custom solutions.

  • Cloud-Native Infrastructure: Advanced knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration(Docker/Kubernetes). You must be comfortable navigating clusters using tools like K9s, managing data streaming, and troubleshooting runtime frameworks.

  • Data Management: Deep expertise in the modern data stack. You must understand the nuances of data governance, lifecycle management, and synchronization. You are proficient in cloud data warehouses (e.g.,DataBricks, BigQuery, Lavender, Redshift, Snowflake) and ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Informatica).

  • Master Data Management & Governance: Proficiency in architecting enterprise-grade MDM systems (such as Reltio, Informatica, Ataccama, or Stibo) with a focus on data integrity and unified record strategy. This includes a deep understanding of data governance principles—specifically metadata management and data lineage—and the experience to design solutions that adhere to global privacy frameworks like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.

  • Agentic AI: Experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions. You must understand how to integrate with leading model providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) and manage local Agent Gardens for data sovereignty.

  • Content & Enablement: Experience creating high-visibility expert content—such as blog posts, technical blueprints, and hands-on workshops—to eliminate manual efforts and scale knowledge globally.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Strategic Engagements: Partner with Sales and Solution Engineering as an elite resource for high-value opportunities, navigating complex architectural hurdles to drive revenue.

  • Productize Technical Wins: Execute high-impact POCs and "productize" those efforts into reusable assets like industry accelerators and solution blueprints for the global solution engineering community.

  • Scale Technical Excellence: Actively advance the organization by distilling complex innovations into scalable training and blueprints that empower regional teams.

  • Drive Thought Leadership: Contribute regularly to the Boomi Community by writing about digital transformation trends and solving difficult technical problems in public forums.

  • Bridge Product & PSO: Translate complex customer requirements to Product Management to influence roadmaps and collaborate with Professional Services (PSO) to transition blueprints into successful Paid Pilots.

  • Modernize Technical Validation: Shift the technical strategy from costly, repetitive POCs toward scalable workshops and custom demonstrations.

  • Maintain Operational Excellence: Operate with a data-driven approach, utilizing Jira and centralized dashboards to track impact, manage the "Phone a Friend" workflow, and adhere to SLAs.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
