About the Role:

CMT is seeking a talented Senior Developer with strong proficiency in key industry technologies and proven experience in end-to-end web development.

You will contribute to developing high-impact solutions for safer roads by building and maintaining our web platform. You will be responsible for solving complex problems and delivering high-quality code.

Responsibilities:

  • Development & Implementation: Develop and implement end-to-end solutions, focusing on maintainability, usability, scalability, and performance. Solve complex technical problems and translate them into effective business solutions. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Participate in code and design reviews, contributing to a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Adhere to software development best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with product managers and other team members to understand requirements and contribute to project plans. Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders.
  • Operations & Support: Provide necessary support and troubleshoot production issues, including high severity incidents. Follow company development and operational standards and processes including managing incidents.
  • Architecture & Design Contribution: Contribute to the design and architecture of the platform, ensuring alignment with maintainability, scalability and performance goals.
  • Mentorship: Train and guide junior developers on state-of-the-art software development methodologies and best practices

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or certification.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in end-to-end web development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with React or Angular and their ecosystem (e.g., Redux, React Router).
  • Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (Python, Java, C#, C++).
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with SQL databases, including schema design and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of common web security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
  • Comfortable working with cloud services, specifically AWS.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python and Django.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Enzyme).
  • Understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms (e.g., SASS) and CSS-in-JS solutions (e.g., Styled-components).
  • NoSQL database design in one or more of DynamoDB, Cassandra.
