
Senior Mobile Engineering Manager
We’re currently looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager who will take a key role on our United States location-neutral team.
This individual will work closely with their team of engineers and with the other leaders of the department to help solve problems, set direction, and drive the product forward. We want candidates that are motivated by seeing others perform well and want to help drive others forward in their career. We value the ability to accept and provide constructive feedback, in service of driving to a stronger outcome. The ability to motivate others to do their best, including when their best is better than they believed is key in this role.
What You’ll Do
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the teams of engineers focused on creating, updating, and maintaining the suite of mobile SwipeSimple applications.
- Support the engineers in their career growth through intentional one-on-ones, clear goal-setting, and objective performance reviews.
- Tailor engineering processes to help teams reach their goals without getting in the way.
- Build team culture through regular team-building and shared experiences.
Engineering Leadership
- Contribute to leadership strategy to help shape the department's progress and momentum.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to solve complex problems and coordinate initiatives.
- Contribute to department-wide policies and processes.
- Partner with Product Managers and Tech Leads to keep team-level goals on track and aligned with the company strategy.
- Help grow the engineering organization by supporting and participating in the interview and recruitment process.
Company Engagement
- Engage in company-wide meetings and outings to build strong relationships across the organization.
- Stay up-to-date on the rapidly evolving payments landscape to better guide the team and product direction.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 2+ years professional experience leading a team, including resource planning, goal setting, performance management, and direct/formal mentorship of team members
- Experience building a team and all aspects of recruiting including interviewing, conducting reference checks, and making hiring decisions
- 5+ years professional experience as a full time software engineer
- Experience successfully balancing multiple priorities and switching contexts to unblock others
- Very strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or nuanced concepts successfully, both verbally and in writing

- Annualized Base Salary Range: $175,000 – $200,000
- Annualized Company Performance Bonus: $15,000 – $20,000
- Company Stock Options: 15,000
