The Role

Cedar is seeking a Product Manager for our Payments Pillar. This team operates at the center of the Cedar product suite – it is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the payment technology stack, which includes core infrastructure, technical interfaces with the rest of our products, and user-facing flows/features.

This role is an excellent growth opportunity for those looking to rapidly advance their career through high-impact, high-visibility initiatives. Generally, this role will involve:

  • Visioning: Work with Cedar leadership and hospital execs to identify new opportunities to (a) leverage payments as a differentiator and (b) generate new revenue streams. 
  • Execution: Continue scaling our core platform (currently processes $3B+ in transactions) to handle (a) a growing client base and (b) growing Cedar suite of products
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally (Engineering, Data, Product Managers, Client Growth, GTM) to execute on the roadmap and launch high quality products
  • Go-To-Market: Collaborate with commercial, client teams, and strategic vendors to influence how we position, sell, and deliver the product, especially with respect to differentiation 

Responsibilities

  • Drive product strategy by generating market insights via client engagement + desk research
  • Work cross-functionally with nearly nearly every function (Commercial, Delivery, Makers, Legal)
  • Develop + execute on roadmap with dev team (Eng, Design, Data) in-line with Cedar strategy
  • Define measurement strategies for team and launches, while teaming with Data to draw insights 
  • Coordinate relationships, execution, and strategy with vendors like payment processors
  • Define GTM for your product with Commercial to ensure flawless delivery + customer value
  • Develop + share thought leadership around your product + its market

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Track record of successfully delivering technically-complex software products
  • Experience working directly with senior engineers to ship customer-facing applications
  • Strong analytical and data driven approach
  • Strong communication + project management skills with internal / external leadership teams
  • Effective communicator
  • A knack for “figuring-it-out” no matter how tough or ambiguous the problem is

Bonus Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the payments technology industry
  • Prior experience working with databases and SQL
  • Prior experience at high-growth startups
  • Technical background in product-related software engineering

Compensation Range and Benefits

  • Salary/Hourly Rate Range*: $144,500 - $170,000
  • This role is equity eligible
