Manager, Performance Attribution Solutions

We are seeking a people leader to join as the Gurugram Manager of our Performance Attribution Solutions (PAS) team. 

The PAS Team’s purpose is to provide performance, attribution, investment analytics data and insights to our internal and external stakeholders, including working directly with Affiliate investment teams and portfolio managers.   

This is a broad role that will take up responsibilities from the PAS Team, as well as other operations that complements the overall Investment Analytic Engagement Team, such as those related to GIPS composite management, consultant database management, regulatory reporting, and other standardized operations. 

The ideal candidate is a proven leader who brings an ownership mindset, is self-motivated, and drives results from start to finish.  You will be responsible for embedding operational best practices, identifying automation opportunities, and ensuring effective oversight of the distribution of investment analytics. 

Your key stakeholders include multiple Affiliate investment teams - portfolio managers, traders, economists and researchers – as well as sales / marketing, client service, compliance, investment operations, and technology partners across the Financial Group.   

 

What You Will Do  

Operational Leadership & Talent Development 

  • Build the new Gurugram Team:  Working in conjunction leadership in Canada,  hire talents to develop a strong performance measurement operational presence in the Asian time zone. 
  • Develop a High-Performing Team: Cultivate an environment centered on innovation, a deep sense of ownership, and a drive to achieve results. A leader with a track record of developing talent and high performing teams is preferred. 
  • Develop Talent: Support talent development across the team, including the onboarding of new members and providing training to existing team members 
  • Manage Daily Operations: Manage daily functional activities, developing reliable and scalable workflows, and proactively reducing operational risk. 
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner closely with Senior Managers and Affiliates to execute strategic objectives of the team and deliver ad hoc projects in response to business needs. 

 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Affiliate and Business Team Collaboration: Serve as the primary analytics liaison between investment, operations, and sales / marketing teams, ensuring we own the outcomes needed to fulfill our affiliates’ business needs.  
  • Drive Process Excellence: Proactively identify, design, and execute continuous improvements to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate operational risk, and elevate service delivery quality across the team. 
  • Manage Multiple Stakeholder Relationships:  Manage relationships across teams in Gurugram and Canada and UK, ensuring priorities are aligned and teams collaborate effectively.  

 

Process Improvement and Automation Leadership 

  • Data Quality Assurance: Responsible for implementing data quality assurance processes and tools to ensure analytic data is accurate, timely, and fit for purpose by data consumers (people & systems). 
  • Implement Middle Office / Back Office System Upgrades:  Accountable for the implementation and rollout of the new platform and various tools. 
  • Advance Visualization & Distribution: Drive the design and deployment of institutional and quant-grade distribution and visualization tools, enabling stakeholders to extract optimal value from complex datasets. 

 

What You Bring   

Technical & Industry Expertise 

  • Domain Knowledge: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in performance measurement and investment analytics, preferably within the investment management industry. Also, a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with direct reports. 
  • Investment Analytics Expertise: Brings a deep understanding of performance and attribution methodologies and how to apply them to complex global investment products and structures.   
  • Education & Credentials:  Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline. Professional designations such as the CFA or CIPM are strongly preferred. 

Leadership & Professional Skills 

  • Proven People Manager: Minimum of 3 years of direct leadership experience in performance, analytics, or investment operations teams.  
  • Problem Solver: An analytical thinker with a demonstrated capacity for pattern recognition, capable of engineering creative, structured solutions to business problems. 
  • Clear Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex technical and quantitative analytics concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: A professional ethos dedicated to continuous process improvement, consistently evaluating operational workflows with a critical eye toward de-risking and optimization.
