Analyst, Sales & Client Enablement - 12 Month Contract

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Interested in joining a growing Marketing team that is helping transform how sales and client materials are created, maintained and delivered? The Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group (CC&L Financial Group) Marketing team is looking for a detail-oriented and technically minded problem solver to join our Sales & Client Enablement team, with a particular focus on data automation and template development.

In this role, you will help design, build, test, maintain and enhance automated sales and client materials within Seismic, including presentations, reports and other documents. You will work closely with the Manager, Sales & Client Enablement to translate existing manual processes and business requirements into scalable solutions.

You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone who is technically curious, comfortable solving problems, able to data validate and excited about becoming an expert in sales and client enablement automation.

This role would be for a full time employee on a 1 year contract. We work as a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home.

What You Will Do

  • Build and enhance automated PowerPoint and Word documents used across Sales and Client Service, including sales and client presentations, investment reports and other recurring deliverables.
  • Configure Seismic solutions that dynamically populate presentations and documents using structured data sources, business rules, variables, tables and conditional content.
  • Create and maintain dynamic tables, charts, text, disclosures, investment data and other components that respond appropriately to user selections and underlying data.
  • Work with data providers and technical teams to understand and troubleshoot data sources used by Seismic Document Generators, including SQL and JSON-based data.
  • Configure business rules, conditional logic, calculations and mappings required to generate accurate client and sales materials across different products, strategies and affiliates.
  • Identify opportunities to develop reusable components, templates and automation patterns that can be leveraged across multiple teams and documents.
  • Perform detailed quality assurance to confirm that data, calculations, formatting, conditional content, disclosures and document logic are working correctly before solutions are released.
  • Investigate Document Generator, LiveDoc, data-binding, formatting and generation issues and work with internal teams and Seismic support to resolve them.
  • Partner with Data, Technology, Compliance, Marketing, Client Reporting and Investment Teams to ensure automated materials meet both business and technical requirements.

What You Bring

  • Experience with Seismic, LiveDocs or Document Generators is highly desirable. Experience developing or supporting automated documents within another document-generation or sales-enablement platform would also be valuable.
  • You enjoy understanding how things work, troubleshooting problems and figuring out how technology can replace repetitive manual processes.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills, including an understanding of templates, formatting, tables, charts and document structures. You are comfortable working with complex presentations and documents where formatting precision matters.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with structured datasets, formulas and data validation.
  • You are comfortable working with structured data and understanding how data moves from a source system into a presentation or document.
  • Experience reading or writing SQL queries is an asset. You should be comfortable learning how queries, parameters, filters and calculated fields support automated documents.
  • Familiarity with JSON or similar structured data formats is an asset, particularly for working with Seismic data sources and dynamic content.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail. Automated documents may contain investment performance, holdings, exposures, allocations and other client-facing information where accuracy is critical.
  • When something does not work as expected, you are comfortable investigating the issue, isolating the cause, testing solutions and documenting the resolution.
  • You naturally look for ways to simplify repetitive tasks, standardize processes and build solutions that can scale.
  • You can communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business requirements into specifications that technical teams can understand.
  • You enjoy working across teams and recognize that successful automation requires coordination between business owners, data providers, compliance, technology and end users.
  • Seismic and our broader technology ecosystem continue to evolve. You are interested in learning new capabilities and experimenting with better ways of working.
  • Experience in asset management or financial services is an asset. Otherwise, you are interested in learning investment terminology and understanding the data presented in client and sales materials.

The expected base salary range for this position is $60,000–$70,000. The midpoint represents our general market target for a fully qualified and experienced individual performing the role. Actual starting salary may fall below or above the midpoint depending on the candidate's relevant experience, skills and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
