The Consumer & Business organization owns Coinbase's flagship retail experiences across trading, investing, and related financial products. As a Senior Technical Program Manager on this team, you'll lead high-priority, multi-quarter programs that span multiple product areas and engineering teams, turning strategy into clear plans and shipping high-quality features reliably and on time. Recent launches led by TPMs on this team include Equities, Prediction Markets, Derivatives, and Credit Card.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from problem definition through launch and post-launch follow-up, ensuring scope, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics are defined and tracked.
  • Drive the operating cadence for your programs (kickoffs, status reviews, dashboards, risk tracking) to keep teams aligned and accountable across Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and business partners.
  • Identify risks and cross-team dependencies proactively, drive mitigations, and escalate crisply when leadership decisions are needed.
  • Partner with Engineering leads to evaluate technical trade-offs around reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability, ensuring architecture decisions support program goals.
  • Translate product and business goals into executable program plans and define program-level KPIs that guide prioritization and decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Engineering leader, or similar role driving large technical programs in a high-growth consumer technology company.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives through significant ambiguity, tight timelines, and regulatory constraints, with demonstrated ability to drive programs independently from early framing through launch.
  • Technical fluency in modern distributed systems sufficient to engage with Staff+ engineers on architecture, design trade-offs, and sequencing decisions.
  • Experience defining program-level KPIs and using dashboards and data to guide prioritization, with a track record of influencing outcomes without direct authority across Product, Engineering, and business teams.
  • Familiarity with trading, brokerage, payments, or other high-throughput fintech products, or with crypto, web3, or DeFi ecosystems.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
