Member of Technical Staff (Security)
Job Overview
As a Security Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building core product features while bringing deep security expertise to every aspect of development in our AI systems and platforms. This is primarily a software engineering role that requires substantial security knowledge - you'll develop customer-facing features while ensuring our platform maintains the highest security standards. Your work will directly impact platform functionality, with security considerations integrated into everything you build. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of cybersecurity in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
What you'll do:
- Write production code for security features including authentication systems, authorization frameworks, encryption services, and data privacy controls.
- Design and implement security architecture for our AI systems, including authentication, access controls, and identity management.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure features released are secure by design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and DevOps processes.
- Educate and train engineering and product teams on security best practices, policies, and procedures.
What we are seeking:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Strong software engineering skills with security expertise, with 5+ years of production experience and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience implementing security features in production systems, including auth systems (e.g., SSO, RBAC, OAuth), encryption, and secure APIs.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes security concepts (e.g., network policies, secrets management) and security features of at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Proven ability to work effectively in an engineering team environment with code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Track record of delivering product features in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of compliance control requirements and security frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53).
