Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Account Manager (AM) to lead client relationships, drive business growth, and ensure strategic alignment within our Solar and Storage Operations and Maintenance (O&M) division, Cypress Creek Solutions. The AM will be responsible for cultivating long-term relationships, achieving revenue targets, and delivering exceptional client experiences. This role requires strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex client portfolios.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client escalations and strategic discussions.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to foster trust, loyalty, and collaboration.
  • Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.

Revenue Growth and Account Development

  • Achieve revenue targets through effective account management and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities, tracking progress in the CRM to ensure closure.
  • Respond to customer RFPs by developing and furnishing tailored proposals that align with client needs.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Account Plans to meet both client and company goals.

Contract and Financial Oversight

  • Negotiate contracts, renewals, and pricing agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor account profitability and proactively address any financial challenges to meet revenue targets.
  • Act as the escalation point for financial issues, working with clients to resolve disputes or concerns.

Client Advocacy and Feedback

  • Act as the voice of the client within the organization, ensuring internal teams align with client priorities and expectations.
  • Gather and analyze strategic client feedback to guide product and service improvements.
  • Manage and enhance overall customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.

New Business Onboarding

  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition to operational teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set clear expectations and deliver an excellent client onboarding experience.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, renewable energy, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with a strong preference for a Bachelors or advanced degree in Renewable Energy studies.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or a related role, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sector.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools and account planning strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex client portfolios and navigate challenging situations effectively.

Location: The role will be based in Durham, NC and go into the office 3 days week on a hybrid schedule.
