The Cypress Creek Solutions (CCS) organization seeks to increase energy sustainability and security by maximizing solar and storage asset performance throughout the US.  Our mission is to see underperformance and sell solutions that deliver the best megawatt hours for our customers.

Overview

The Solutions organization leads operations and maintenance for solar and battery storage projects throughout the United States. We are looking for a team member who is excited by a fast pace and rapidly growing industry and is eager to make CCS the leading solar and storage O&M services business.

The Senior Manager, Central Operations will be responsible for managing teams supporting various field activities across the Cypress Creek operating portfolio. The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of renewable service business operations; demonstrated experience leading high performing teams; proven leadership driving improved business processes and organizational change; demonstrated aptitude for continuous learning; strong communication skills; and financial acumen in managing costs.

The Senior Manager, Central Operations will lead teams responsible for operational planning, third-party vendor management, onboarding/offboarding of solar and BESS power plants, and coordination across supply chain and warranty functions. The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director of Operations & Maintenance and work closely with the regional managers, sales and commercial operations, Asset Management, engineering leadership, and Solutions supply chain. The individual is expected to be hands-on; CCS is a culturally flat organization where senior and junior team members work collaboratively throughout the operational lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize resource planning and dispatch across the United States on behalf of Solutions Regional Managers.
  • Develop Vegetation Management plans and ensure on-time/quality delivery of 3rd party contractors.
  • Support additional vegetation, module washing and civil revenue opportunities through third party O&M customers.
  • Lead strategic third-party vendor relationships in support of planned maintenance and operational success.
  • Continuously optimize costs-of-goods sold to enable the best customer service and asset performance with strong financial viability.
  • Coordinate with Solutions Supply Chain for spare parts optimization and availability.
  • Drive efforts with CCR EPC-M and third party Customers for take-over (and releasing) of new projects.
  • Innovate on existing business models and service product execution to deliver above-and-beyond results for the Solutions organization.
  • Embrace and model the Cypress Creek mission and values.
  • Work closely with Regional Service Teams, Commercial leadership and account management, CCS Monitoring, Operations & Performance Engineering, Fleet-Asset Management, and Structured Finance to develop and operationally deploy strategy.
  • Lead teams focused on KPI execution and continuously improving CCS operations.

Education & Experience Required

  • 10+ years of experience in renewable energy service businesses and/or field operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean practices and change management.
  • 4-year degree required. MBA or other relevant master’s degree valued.
  • Ability to drive organizational change.
  • Strong financial acumen with focus on managing costs.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative, attention to detail and accountability.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Strong interest in joining a dynamic, value-building environment and being part of a high-performing and collaborative team.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills to drive an empowering culture and serve as an ideal team player.

Location: This role will be based out of our Durham, NC office on a hybrid schedule.
