Position Overview:
We are looking for an engineer who will help lead the development and support of current and future storage platforms at scale, with a particular focus on Network File System (NFS) and scalable file storage solutions.The Storage Team supports the operations and development of block volumes, backups, image management, object storage, and scalable file systems like NFS. Our goal is to create a cohesive, singular interface to hypervisor storage, where storage class placement decisions are transparent to the hypervisor client and leverage the full range of block and file storage classes to best satisfy customer needs. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to make impactful contributions to key software, contribute to the open source community, and debug interesting problems at cloud scale.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable NFS solutions and distributed file systems.
- Support the creation and operations of distributed systems at scale.
- Program in Go and other modern languages to develop high-performance storage solutions.
- Collaborate with a highly motivated team to architect, develop, and optimize storage services.
- Contribute to and leverage open-source communities, especially in the file storage ecosystem.
- Solve complex, large-scale engineering problems in a technically challenging environment.
