THE ROLE

We are searching for results-driven and motivated candidates to join our fast growing Business Development team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Contact key decision-makers on targeted accounts across North America to inform them about Dispatch and to generate interest in our products.
  • Identify, research and nurture an executable pipeline for our Sales Organization.
  • Conduct market research in collaboration with enterprise sales representatives.
  • Target top accounts by prospecting through multiple channels such as calling, emailing, social.
  • Continuously learn our applications/value proposition/differentiation to enhance conversations.

WHAT WE SEEK

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1+ years previous Business Development experience preferred 
  • Business to business (B2B) Sales
  • Inside Sales/Outside Sales
  • Previous cold calling experience preferred
  • Results driven & competitive nature
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal/external clients
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to learn and understand new products and technology

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend New Hire Training
  • Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow
  • Build relationships with internal business partners including Marketing and Sales
  • Receive administrative training on how to leverage internal tools including Salesforce etc.
  • Shadow others and learn Dispatch best practices
  • Begin to cold call and understand how to leverage your knowledge to overcome objections

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Have a strong understanding of the business, and begin teaching us a thing or two we don’t know
  • Work with Account Executives, Managers, and peers to gain continued learning on product, talk track, and lead flow
  • Continue your education around Dispatch’s competitive advantage while continuing to strengthen your business acumen
  • Become an expert on internal tools and processes

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Begin to consistently hit quota and activity metrics
  • Work with Account Executives to shadow Dispatch’s demos
  • Assist in the development of best practices for lead generation

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Be seen as a well-versed, trusted business-advisor and expert, making a significant positive impact in Lead Generation
  • Work with sales and marketing to help create new campaigns to drive pipeline
  • Participate in and lead certain on-boarding and continuing education programs
  • Report, track, and share productivity measurements with your team
  • Have a complete understanding of the Dispatch product suite
  • Identify further personal education opportunities to increase your business and instructional acumen

SALARY

The base salary range for this role is $55K annually.  Actual pay within the range is influenced by multiple factors, including but not limited to skill set, your residence location, and prior work experience. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for commission, equity, and benefits, and are not included in the provided pay range.

LOCATION

Dispatch fully accommodates remote work, as long as you have a permanent residence within the many states we are registered in. Want to spend a month in Italy? Great, do it! Live in Idaho? Sweet, we have another team member there! As long as you are crushing your goals and helping us drive the business forward, you do you. We also have an office in Boston that is open and available for you to use.
