Senior Software Test Engineer

Remote

At Diverge Health we are a team of entrepreneurs passionate about improving health access and outcomes for those most in need. We partner with primary care providers to improve the engagement and management of their Medicaid patients, providing independent practices access to specialized resources and clinical programs to address medical, social and behavioral patient needs. Our care ecosystem is equipped with enhanced technology and data interfaces to enable provider and patient success in a value-based environment. Guided by our core values of humility, continuous learning and feeling the weight, our team is on a mission to strengthen communities from within, unlocking people's ability to live their healthiest lives.

We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team!

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Technology, the Senior Software Test Engineer should be passionate about our mission to support those who need help most in our healthcare system. This role will be part of our Technology team and help ensure our technical services are delivered with the highest quality.

Our technology organization is a small, growing team of problem solvers committed to improving healthcare outcomes for disadvantaged populations.  Our fully remote workforce strives to be…

  • Innovative – We love creative problem solvers capable of outside the box solutioning, and who work hard to find simple solutions to hard problems.
  • Independent – We take ownership of problems and have pride in our solutions, while working independently and supporting each other’s efforts.
  • Adaptive – As a small team, we all lean in across the breadth of our technologies and love to learn new technologies and dive into new areas - and to figure things out as we go.

What We Do:

We create and execute technology enablement efforts – from software development to data/analytics, to infrastructure, and enterprise technologies. We work collaboratively across stakeholders to understand business problems and needs, and design & implement solutions that support our mission of providing effective and transformative patient-centered care.

We work on an ever-expanding set of technology platforms and are always seeking the simplest, most cost-effective way to solve problems.  We build solutions, run data integrations and data warehouses, execute healthcare analytics, and more, all deployed across automated, serverless infrastructure wherever possible.

How You Can Help Us:

Here are some key areas where you can help improve our team with your skills:

  • Designed and executed test plans – you’ve taken a list of requirements, or even just conversations about requirements, and turned that into a detailed test plan that you then executed and documented the results.
  • Leveraged tools to increase test automation and code coverage – automation is the key to consistency and scale, and you’ve lived that philosophy by identifying and integrating tools to improve automation and test coverage – the exact tools aren’t nearly as important as a demonstrated focus and the strategy for automation.
  • Built, maintained, and expanded automated test infrastructure – you’ve not only used test tooling, but also helped identify, implement, and maintain the infrastructure required for testing – including tools, libraries, environments, and data.
  • Reviewed and contributed to technical requirements and ensured testability – you’ve influenced product designs to make them easier to both use and validate.
  • Drove user documentation and education – you’ve bridged the technology gap by becoming a product guru and have educated others by creating easy-to-follow documentation and educational content for system users.
  • Strong love of breaking things and making them better – you’ve tackled the challenge of breaking the unbreakable and enjoy finding the flaws in systems, and can demonstrate how you have improved products, processes, and experiences for others.

Beyond the software quality experiences, there are other areas where candidates can stand-out and contribute to the team

  • Experience writing code/scripts, architecting solutions, and teaching others – we often contribute with various one-time processes/scripts, system reviews, and educational sessions, etc., to help each other and other teams
  • Process automation, in addition to product automation - for example, having automated employee on-boarding or termination processes, is another way to demonstrate you can add value to the company beyond the products.
  • IT automations – in addition to product quality, we own the establishment of IT standards – showing how you have implemented and enforced IT processes and standards would help ensure that our entire technical environment is of the highest quality.

When it comes to specifics, we’re looking for

  • 5 - 15 years testing software products, preferably with a strong understanding of the healthcare space and its requirements.
  • Experience in all aspects of testing – unit, functional, component, integration, system, UI/UX, performance, reliability, security, etc.
  • Broad familiarity with multiple languages and frameworks with a demonstrated adaptability to changing environments – our stack is constantly evolving, but currently includes Salesforce, JavaScript, Node, React, Python, serverless APIs, SQL databases, and Dagster automations.
  • Proven ability to identify and influence the selection, direction, and growth of quality tools, processes, and organization.
  • Strong background in automation, but with ability and willingness to roll-up your sleeves and do things manually to get them done.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
