Title: Senior Market Development Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Market Development Analyst who is analytical and commercially minded to play a pivotal role in driving our global growth plans. In this role, you will lead market intelligence efforts, develop actionable growth strategies, and support high-stakes business development initiatives. You will serve as a subject matter expert on market dynamics, competitive positioning, and commercial opportunity — working closely with executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners to expand our footprint in key markets.

Primary Responsibilities

Market Research & Analyses:

Evaluate in collaboration with various EdgeConneX and external Subject Matter Experts potential markets and development projects -- assessing demand, colocation dynamics, edge computing, AI-driven infrastructure requirements, and evolving regulatory environments.

  • Support development of and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence framework, tracking customer and competitor strategies, capacity expansions, development costs and pricing benchmarks, and general market activity.
  • Help identify markets and high-potential projects for expansion, supported by rigorous data-driven analysis.

Strategy & Reporting:

  • Translate complex market and project data into clear strategic recommendations for senior leadership and executive audiences.
  • Build and maintain opportunity assessments and analyses to guide investment and go-to-market decisions.
  • Develop executive-level reports and market briefings.
  • Support the development of and maintain systems to track and report on market development activities and progress on strategic projects and initiatives.
  • Develop clear, concise reports, presentations, and dashboards that communicate market insights and strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with multiple teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, and Operations) to integrate market insights into business planning and analysis processes.

Go-to-Market Initiatives:

  • Support the qualification of new project opportunities.
  • Support the development of go-to-market strategies, market entry analyses, and business cases for new opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Self-starter with positive attitude and strong emotional intelligence. Ability to operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and to build strong, collaborative relationships across all company functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills. Strong ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Ability to build and pressure-test business cases.
  • Proven ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) strongly preferred.
  • Data-driven decision maker who balances analysis with pragmatism
  • Attention to detail.

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in market research, strategy, business development, or a related field, ideally within data centers, real estate, energy, telecommunications, or infrastructure.

Travel

  • Up to 25% (both domestic and international) with the flexibility to travel on short notice.
