OUR COMPANY:

EOS IT Solutions is a Global Technology and Logistics company, providing Collaboration and Business IT Support services to some of the world’s largest industry leaders, delivering forward-thinking solutions based on multi-domain architecture. Customer satisfaction and commitment to superior quality of service are our top business priorities, along with investing in and supporting our partners and employees.

We are a true International IT provider and are proud to deliver our services through global simplicity with trusted transparency.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Network Deployment Engineer Team Lead is a hybrid role operating on a 50/50 split between hands-on technical execution and team leadership. In this role, you will spend half your time directly managing infrastructure project intakes, coaching engineers, and representing the team to cross-functional stakeholders and corresponding meetings. The other half of your time will be spent actively deploying and configuring global production networks, data centers, and Point of Presence (POP) sites alongside your team. You will ensure resources are used correctly to guarantee optimal delivery times, data quality, and service excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership & Operations (50%)
    • Coaching & Mentorship: Act as a technical mentor to deployment engineers, holding regular 1-on-1 meetings to support career growth and guide complex problem-solving.
    • Intake & Queue Prioritization: Own queue management for incoming deployment tasks and incidents, prioritizing requests based on business impact and allocating resources efficiently.
    • Performance & Outcomes: Assist in measuring individual performance, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring the team meets expected completion intervals.
    • Onboarding & Offboarding: Lead the functional onboarding process for new team members to ensure technical readiness and manage secure offboarding protocols when required.
    • Team Representation: Act as the primary point of contact for the team, preparing performance reports and status updates for management while aligning with Network Engineering, Logistics, and external vendors.
  • Technical & Network Deployment Execution (50%)
    • Deploy Infrastructure: Lead by example by managing a selective queue of complex deployment intakes, configuring and supporting large-scale production and corporate network and server infrastructure.
    • Design & Capacity Planning: Calculate equipment power requirements, create rack face elevations, floor plans, wiring diagrams, and develop cage, rack, and detailed port map designs.
    • Vendor & Project Coordination: Create Statements of Work (SOWs) for POP vendors, manage project timelines for network turn-up, and handle worldwide colocation/service provider relationships.
    • Automation & Maintenance: Proactively contribute to internal scripts, tools, documentation, and processes while overseeing hardware asset management and RMA procedures.
    • Diagnostics & Escalation: Detect, diagnose, and resolve complex error/failure conditions across server and network arrays under pressure, providing a bridge for high-tier support escalations.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading technical projects, managing resource capacity, or mentoring junior engineering peers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Network & Data Center Expertise: Deep understanding of datacenter network architecture, deployment practices (cable routing, cooling, power math), and common network issues.
  • Hardware & Optics Knowledge: Strong understanding of Optical equipment (DWDM) and fiber-optic technology (cable, connector, optic types, and transport technologies).
  • Systems & Scripting: Proficiency in Linux operating systems, experience with IPv6, and familiarity with using scripting languages and internal automation tools.
  • Certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, RHCT, or equivalent professional-level industry experience preferred.
  • Operational Skills: Exceptional time management, organizational skills, traffic analysis capabilities, and experience handling global carriers and colocation facilities remotely.
  • Teamwork & Adaptability: Ability to lead and work within a global team under limited supervision.
  • Physical Demands & Travel: Ability to lift/move 30-40 lbs and willingness to travel 10% to 30% as required by deployment needs
