Job Summary: The ideal candidate for the position is passionate about electronics and can contribute to product development through all stages of conception, prototype, and productization. This role will focus on the design, test and integration of custom Printed Circuit Board Assemblies and other general electronics responsibilities. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment to apply emerging technologies in innovative ways to rapidly produce new products.   

  

Responsibilities:  

  • Design and Development: 
  • Design and develop electronic circuits and systems. Own design from concept through customer delivery. 
  • Create and maintain detailed schematics, layouts, and documentation.  
  • Participate in the selection and specification of components and materials.  
  • Delegate work effectively to more junior employees. 
  • Testing and Validation: 
  • Conduct testing and validation of electronic systems and components to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.  
  • Analyze test data, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.  
  • Troubleshooting and Support: 
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in electronic systems and components.  
  • Assist in failure analysis and root cause investigations.  

 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.  
  • 12+ years of experience in electronics design, development, and testing.  
  • Proficiency in using electronic design software (Altium Designer preferred)  
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.  
  • Experience with PCB design and layout.  
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontrollers.  
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.  
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.  

  

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred 
  • Knowledge of power electronics and energy management systems.  
  • Experience working with high-voltage DC systems. 
  • Experience with compliance testing and regulatory standards.  
  • Ownership of designs in high-volume production or aerospace environments 

 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment.  
  • Occasionally lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

As required by the Equal Pay Transparency Act, Epirus provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. 

For the state of California only, the range of starting pay for this role is:

$176,000 - $233,000 USD
