
Sr. Distribution Marketing Specialist - Retirement
Job Summary
The Senior Marketing Specialist position will partner closely with marketing team members and the larger Retirement Segment team on the successful building of strategy and delivery of marketing material, campaigns, presentations and communications. This position is responsible for developing and delivering insight-driven content and projects that align with overall messaging goals of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce insight-driven content to communicate effectively to our target audiences.
- Understand and maintain an in-depth understanding of F&G’s product suite and fit in the sales process in order to differentiate our products and help sales effectively engage with financial professionals
- Write and edit content (e.g., presentations, collateral, emails, etc.) that ladders up to our overall vision and goals.
- Maintain and update existing content. Identify pieces impacted by a product or rate change, create and execute a plan to address.
- Maintain collateral list to analyze and easily identify pieces based on usage, product, key message, etc.
- Drive consistency across all related content and materials.
- Support other marketing team members' content development, handling execution of collateral pieces (workflow, testing, ensuring live on time).
- Contribute to the discovery and development of marketing briefs and campaign plans.
- Work with the team to monitor, analyze and report on campaign results as well as make recommendations on how to adapt strategies and tactics based on data.
- Assist in continuously improving marketing best practices, helping establish a data-led marketing culture that drives revenue.
- Lead development and execution of event strategies in collaboration with the Corporate Events and Sales teams.
- Determine event efficiencies, build content, decks and agendas, ensure high-level F&G experience for guests, analyze reporting and build recommendations to optimize.
- Manage webinars and tradeshow strategy from planning to execution and reporting.
- Manage speaker list for IMO and FI channel events. Partner with Corporate events on vetting, sponsorship agreements, and list maintenance. Build & execute strategy behind industry partner sponsorships (e.g. IRI, LIMRA).Serve as primary relationship liaison with Index and Bank partners.
Experience and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, business analytics or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing in financial services industry. Specific experience in B2B marketing a plus.
- 3+ years of event experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proven content marketing competency and experience partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Possess a creative, curious spirit that can keep marketing efforts current and compliant, while adjusting for new ideas
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of how to write for B2B audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; resourceful and action-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced organization
- Must be detail-oriented with proficient organizational skills.
- A data-driven mindset, with the ability to distill insights to inform marketing campaigns.
- Ability to quickly adapt to change. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office and Acrobat.
Other Requirements
- Perform other functions, duties and projects, as assigned.
- Regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
