The Category Manager, PV & BESS plays a crucial role in driving category management and supplier relationship management (SRM) for our PV and BESS categories. This role ensures we achieve the best value for our investments while upholding the highest standards and integrity in effectively managing Gentari’s corporate spend. The ideal candidate will establish framework agreements, implement standards, processes, and templates, provide comprehensive spend visibility, and oversee the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process for corporate expenditures.
Responsibilities
Category Management:
- Develop and lead the category management strategy for PV and BESS category, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics;
- Identify cost savings opportunities within category;
- Identify new suppliers and onboarding of new suppliers;
- Identify opportunities for product development or enhancement;
- Monitor market analysis, supplier benchmarking, competitor benchmarking and risk assessments to optimize category performance;
- Manage supplier selection based on Total Cost of Ownership criteria (including system cost comparison, quality, reliability, delivery, transport costs, long term production plan etc.).
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high performance and continuous improvement;
- Implement SRM strategies to enhance supplier collaboration, innovation, and value delivery.
Source-to-Pay (S2P):
- Oversee the end-to-end S2P process, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures;
- Drive process efficiencies and automation to streamline procurement operations.
Digital Visibility:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive spend analysis and reporting tools to provide visibility into corporate spend;
- Utilize data analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive strategic decision-making;
- Support Procurement Dashboard development by providing relevant data.
Develop Standard, Processes and Templates:
- Establish and implement procurement standards, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency across all procurement activities;
- Continuously improve procurement practices to align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field;
- Minimum 10 years of proven track record in procurement of PV and BESS, category management, successful supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost savings achievement in renewable energy industry;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing business needs;
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools;
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in procurement and inventory management;
- Self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying solutions.
