Technical Operations Associate

Seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Operations Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, managing technical tools, and supporting cross-functional initiatives to drive collaboration between Revenue and EPD teams, and building efficient processes for scale. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical acumen and operational expertise, capable of bridging the gap between technical and non-technical departments. You’ll be part of a growing, hybrid team that sits at the intersection of Revenue and Product—acting as the connective tissue between functions, systems, and people.This is not a traditional ops role. It’s analytical, creative, and ever-evolving. You’ll be building the infrastructure that helps Ghost scale—while shaping what this department looks like long term.

This position is 100% in-office at our Los Angeles headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update technical documentation, ensuring process changes and updates are clearly defined.
  • Manage and optimize automation, software, and tools for ideal workflows and organization.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product and admin, providing structured feedback to the product team and technical ops team.
  • Support sales and brand partnerships teams with technical and admin assistance to streamline processes.
  • Monitor and maintain databases, dashboards and data visualizations via Airtable and Metabase to track key performance metrics and encourage data quality.
  • Serve as a bridge between Revenue and Product teams, ensuring relevant updates and feedback are communicated and implemented effectively.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in technical operations, product operations, or related roles.

Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Airtable (base structuring, interfaces, automations, scripts).
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets power user—data cleanup, formulas, filters, cross-sheet logic).
  • Experience building or managing lightweight internal tooling (admin panels, dashboards, Google Colab docs, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of APIs and how to connect softwares to one another (even if just via no-code platforms)
  • Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with data scraping techniques/tools.
  • Experience with Notion for documentation, process design, and team knowledge bases.
  • Familiarity with no-code/low-code automation platforms (e.g. Zapier, Make, n8n).
  • Comfort with data integrity checks, normalization, and version control in collaborative environments.
  • Experience designing and maintaining dashboards or trackers for internal visibility (bonus if in Airtable or Metabase!)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with a technical mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, with experience in documenting and optimizing processes
  • Clear and adaptive communicator—able to translate technical and operational concepts across diverse teams
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with shifting priorities
  • You’re a systems thinker who’s energized by building elegant solutions to messy problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong awareness of the potential and shortcomings of modern AI tools, with the ability to evaluate what’s genuinely effective and relevant to real-world operations.
  • Experienced with lightweight scripting for automation or data cleanup (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Google Apps Script)
  • Skilled at building systems that are intuitive, functional, and user-focused.
  • Familiar with or interested in fashion, retail, merchandising, or e-commerce environments a plus!

 

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$70,000, depending on skills and experience.
