Your role:

Reporting into the VP of HR, the Director, Total Rewards & Global Benefits leads the strategy, governance, and execution of Global Relay’s global compensation and benefits programs. The role ensures our total rewards framework is competitive, equitable, financially disciplined, and aligned with the company’s growth.

As Global Relay continues to scale globally/internationally, this role will guide the evolution of our rewards philosophy, job architecture, and compensation structures to match the organization’s expanding footprint.

In this position, you will partner closely with Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Legal, and executive leadership to design scalable, performance-driven reward programs across multiple geographies. You will provide strategic oversight to compensation governance, executive rewards, and global benefits while ensuring market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and operational rigor.

Your responsibilities:

This role drives global total rewards strategy, compensation governance, job architecture, and benefits leadership in the following ways:

Total Rewards Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and implement a forward-looking global total rewards strategy aligned with business growth, talent priorities, and financial objectives.
  • Establish and maintain compensation philosophy, governance frameworks, and market positioning approach.
  • Advise the VP, HR and executive leadership on rewards design, competitiveness and emerging market trends.

Job Architecture & Compensation Design

  • Lead the design and governance of a comprehensive global job architecture, including job families, leveling structures, and career pathways.
  • Ensure role design and leveling align with compensation bands, performance expectations, and workforce planning needs/requirements.
  • Oversee global salary benchmarking and maintain competitive, internally equitable pay ranges across regions.
  • Design scalable compensation frameworks, including incentive and sales compensation structures aligned with revenue strategy.

Compensation Operations & Equity

  • Lead modernization of the compensation review process, introducing tools and automation that improve transparency, accuracy and manager enablement.
  • Conduct global pay equity analyses and develop remediation strategies where needed.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance with compensation regulations and strong governance controls.
  • Provide executive compensation, benchmarking, governance oversight, and board-level reporting as required.

Global Benefits & Vendor Oversight

  • Oversee global extended health and welfare benefits programs to ensure competitive and cost-effective offerings that support wellbeing.
  • Evaluate and manage benefits vendor performance, including contract negotiations and ongoing assessment of plan competitiveness across regions.
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific benefits regulations and governance standards.

Leadership & Enterprise Partnership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global compensation and benefits team with a focus on capability growth and operational excellence.
  • Partner closely with regional HR Directors to align rewards programs with workforce planning and organizational design and local market needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost management to ensure disciplined, sustainable program delivery.
  • Present strategic recommendations and program insights, and outcomes to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree or CCP, CEBS, or GRP certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive global total rewards and people management experience.
  • Deep expertise in global compensation strategy, job architecture design, and incentive plan development.
  • Proven experience leading compensation transformation, governance enhancement, or review program redesign.
  • Strong financial acumen, including modeling, cost analysis, and market benchmarking.
  • Experience supporting multinational or regulated environments.
  • Strategic, analytically rigorous leader with executive presence, sound judgment, and strong influencing capability.
