Cloud & Application Support Engineer (Syracuse NY or Binghamton NY)

As a Cloud and Application Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability and efficiency of our systems. By troubleshooting complex technical issues, recommending optimizations, and supporting key integrations, you will contribute to a seamless, high-performing environment that enables innovation and growth.

This position is available in either Syracuse NY or Binghamton NY.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for applications and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot various AWS and GCP services
- Monitor and optimize application and infrastructure performance, leveraging various APM/DBM tools.
- Maintain and configure various software applications in our technology stack.
- Troubleshoot containerized RedHat-like Linux operating systems.
- Perform application upgrades and patching.
- Support API gateways and authentication workflows, including OAuth and OIDC.
- Conduct root cause analysis of high-complexity issues.
- Apply network fundamentals to diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Support BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Tableau integrations for analytics and BI solutions.
- Coordinate with internal customers, outside vendors, and partners.
Experience Needed:
- 4-year degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required. Equivalent experience and certifications will also be accepted.
- 2+ years of experience in technical support, DevOps, or software engineering roles.
- 2+ years of experience in Java, TypeScript, and Node.JS programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in query design and database optimization in relational databases.
- 1+ years of experience RHEL or similar.
- Working knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.
- Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancing, VPNs, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience preferred
- Healthcare experience, a strong plus
- Familiarity with DataDog, Prometheus, or similar APM and observability tools, a plus.
- Experience with Mirth/NextGen Connect, a plus
- Foundational cloud certifications, a plus

$70,000-$90,000 is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and seniority.
