Miami

Who We Are

At hear.com, we're on a mission to help people hear well to live well.

Since 2012, we've been challenging the traditional hearing care industry by combining innovative technology, personalized care, and a customer-first approach. Today, with more than 1,100 team members worldwide, we're making quality hearing care more accessible and changing the way people experience it.

But what makes hear.com different isn't just our technology; It's our people and the way we work. We believe in challenging the status quo, taking ownership, learning from one another, and creating an environment where great ideas can come from anyone.

We're a team of curious thinkers, problem-solvers, and doers who aren't afraid to try something new.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a curious, analytical, and tech-savvy AI & Business Operations Intern to join our team in Miami.

This isn't your typical Customer Support internship. You'll work alongside our Customer Experience leadership team to explore how artificial intelligence, automation, and data can transform the way we operate and deliver exceptional customer care.

From developing AI-powered workflows and building dashboards to improving digital support tools and analyzing customer interactions, you'll have the opportunity to turn ideas into real solutions.

You'll take ownership of meaningful projects from concept to execution, collaborate with different teams, and gain firsthand experience working in a business that is actively integrating AI into its daily operations.

If you're someone who enjoys experimenting with technology, solving problems, and figuring out how things can work better, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Be Working On

Your projects will evolve based on business priorities, but you can expect to:

  • Explore AI & Automation: Support the development and improvement of AI-powered solutions across customer support channels, including chat, email, voice, and internal workflows.
  • Turn Data Into Insights: Analyze customer interactions, operational metrics, and business processes to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Build & Improve Digital Tools: Help develop dashboards, support portals, knowledge resources, and other tools that make information more accessible and processes more efficient.
  • Own Projects From Start to Finish: Take responsibility for one or two key initiatives, from understanding the problem and developing a solution to implementation and measuring results.
  • Understand the Customer Experience: Work with customer feedback, interviews, and interaction recordings to identify opportunities to improve our services.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Customer Support leaders and technical teams to understand how systems, data, and business operations connect.
  • Test, Learn & Improve: Experiment with new technologies, evaluate their effectiveness, and help turn promising ideas into practical solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a master's degree or an advanced university qualification in a relevant field. We're open to diverse academic backgrounds, including business, engineering, technology, data analytics, and social sciences.
  • A genuine interest in AI, automation, emerging technologies, and how they can improve business operations.
  • Some hands-on experience experimenting with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms, whether through coursework, personal projects, or previous experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, recognize patterns, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or similar data analysis tools.
  • A proactive mindset. You're comfortable asking questions, taking initiative, and finding solutions when the path forward isn't clearly defined.

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

  • Building dashboards or reports using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Creating automations, AI workflows, or personal projects using AI tools.
  • Working with structured data, including JSON files.
  • Website content management, digital platforms, or knowledge management systems.
  • Data analysis, process improvement, or project management.

What You'll Gain

  • Real Ownership: Lead meaningful projects with measurable outcomes, not just administrative tasks.
  • Hands-On AI Experience: Work with emerging technologies and see how AI is being implemented across real business operations.
  • Exposure to Leadership: Collaborate directly with experienced leaders and gain insight into how decisions are made.
  • Business & Technical Development: Learn how a customer-focused organization scales its operations, connects systems, and uses data to drive improvements.
  • Practical Career Skills: Build experience in project management, analytical thinking, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • A Culture That Encourages Ideas: Join a supportive, collaborative team where curiosity, initiative, and fresh perspectives are valued.

Internship Details

  • Location: Miami, FL - On-site
  • Schedule: Full-time preferred, with some flexibility for schooling
  • Compensation: $24/hr
