Inventory Management and Stock Controller

This role is responsible for inventory management and stock control processes, to ensure efficient operations and optimal stock levels. Responsible for maintaining accurate records, minimising stock discrepancies, and supporting the smooth functioning of our production and order fulfilment processes. Auditing daily and actively support and drive smooth cleardown.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage a team of 5 Inventory Controllers to ensure stock accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct daily rack and stock audits across Ambient, Chiller, Kitting, and Freezer areas.
  • Maintain accurate system records (Matflo) and reconcile discrepancies through investigations.
  • Oversee cleardown and return to quarantine processes, including NOK stations
  • Drive compliance with food safety, health & safety, BRCGS, and supermarket standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of discrepancy sheets and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Replen and Warehouse teams to coordinate real-time inventory movements

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience as Inventory Leader or similar role in a food manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software or systems.
  • Proficient computer skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and handling requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
