Are you passionate about building food safety standards and systems across multiple countries, and driving food safety culture to the next level?

As the Team Lead International Supplier FSQA, you will join a lean, fast-paced cross-functional international team responsible for managing our International Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) team. The International FSQA team is based across the EU where HelloFresh is active. As part of your responsibilities as Team Lead International Supplier FSQA you’ll collaboratively work to mitigate risk, drive standards and operational excellence, while ensuring the consumer gets safe and high quality ingredients.

This is a fixed-term role, limited to 9 months initially. 

 

What you’ll do: The Recipe

  • Drive category and ingredient development by partnering with International Procurement, Culinary and Development teams to identify opportunities, drive new ingredient development and ensure food safety, quality, ethical and operational requirements are embedded in strategic initiatives.
  • Lead, coach and develop the international team across markets, ensuring the right capabilities and expertise are in place to meet business requirements. Develop individual development plans, set performance objectives and support team members in achieving their goals.
  • Lead and continuously improve the International Supplier Approval Process, including supplier onboarding, risk assessment and allocation, and audit standards, ensuring suppliers meet HelloFresh requirements and proactively reducing supply base risks.
  • Develop and deploy international food safety and quality standards and procedures, ensuring alignment across markets, consistent implementation and continuous development of processes to support international scalability.
  • Drive systems and process development in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, further enhancing supplier management, specification management and culinary development systems, including their integration with Distribution Centre processes.
  • Drive international quality performance and continuous improvement by monitoring and analysing category quality data, identifying trends and cross-market risks, translating insights into improvement initiatives and collaborating with Operations to deliver key performance metrics and share best practices.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and role-model HelloFresh values, fostering collaboration, alignment and shared accountability across internal and external stakeholders, while actively contributing to the International Safety, Quality and Operational Compliance vision.

 

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role within Food Manufacturing, Assembly, Distribution, or Retail. Consultancy experience is highly regarded.
  • Audit & Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with internal and external audits and a strong understanding of relevant food regulations in the UK and wider Europe.
  • Food Safety Expertise: In-depth knowledge of food safety management systems, HACCP, and COSHH.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Intermediate to advanced AI skills, strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and the ability to manipulate, interpret, and analyse data.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, combined with energy, enthusiasm, commitment, and a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Adaptability & International Mindset: Comfortable embracing change and challenges, working autonomously, and ideally bringing international experience. Excellent English skills are essential.
