Your Role

As the Vice President, Business Development at Honest Health, you will develop, implement, and refine the company’s strategies to drive growth in core markets. In this role, you will use your consultative sales skills and experience to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and foster long-term partnerships with health systems transitioning to value-based models of care. Your work will position Honest for sustained success by aligning business development efforts with organizational goals and objectives.

 

Primary Functions of the VP, Business Development Include:

  • Develop and execute the business development strategy aligned with company goals, including market analysis, target client identification, and competitive positioning.
  • Identify new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Drive strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and alliances to fuel company growth and expansion.
  • Establish and meet revenue and growth targets, consistently achieving company growth goals.
  • Develop and manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure·
  • Expand existing provider partnerships to increase membership growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build visibility and strengthen market positioning.
  • Lead negotiations and structure complex deals, ensuring favorable terms for the company while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.
  • Run due diligence processes for M&A, partnerships, etc.
  • Identify and lead business development efforts in new geographies.
  • Identify novel opportunities to expand within existing geographies, through crafting creative partnerships with providers and community organizations.
  • Utilize market intelligence to inform expansion strategy and tactics to drive growth.
  • Partner with Strategy team members to design appealing products for potential partners.
  • Effectively collaborate across the organization and leverage internal and external relationships to execute on organizational goals.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed.

 

 

How You Qualify

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration or similar field is required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales within the healthcare environment, with demonstrated experience calling on health systems required
  • Able to travel up to 50% with periods of greater travel as necessary
  • Proven track record of working closely with health systems to navigate large-scale transition efforts, entering a new market, or expanding an existing market, and growing the footprint of a business under their leadership
  • Demonstrate an ability to build and execute on highly complex, personalized, and innovative value-based care contracts
  • Demonstrated fluency in the value proposition of innovative, risk-based reimbursement models and can evangelize the financial incentives and higher quality of care provided to the relevant populations
  • Able to leverage a data and metrics-driven approach to digest and track performance
  • Expertise in market research, strategic planning, and client relationship management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

 

The base pay range for this role is $206,400.00 - $252,800.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
