Role Overview:

As a Fullstack Engineer II, you specialize in building performant, intuitive front-end experiences using React and bring hands-on experience with backend development to support the full lifecycle of product features. You thrive in a collaborative, agile environment and partner closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to drive solutions that deliver real impact to our customers. You are motivated by clean code, continuous learning, and the opportunity to improve the lives of our service professionals through technology.

Compensation: 4,500 - 6,000 USD per month

What you do each day:

  • Develop and maintain React-based features and interfaces aligned with product initiatives
  • Implement and extend backend functionality using the Ruby on Rails framework to support frontend requirements
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers and product managers to deliver user-focused solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable code with test coverage (unit, integration)
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural standards
  • Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and integration challenges
  • Contribute to improvements in team development processes and workflows
  • Work with RESTful APIs to ensure reliable and consistent data communication
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for relevant adoption

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience with React.js
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working on backend development (i.e. Ruby on Rails, Python, Go, Elixir, Node.js, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, including OOP and RESTful architecture
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

How we work

📌 Our primary backend technology stack at HCP is Ruby. To be effective in this role, you’ll need to learn it. We offer support in the learning process, tailored to your needs and any prior experience with Ruby. This may include mentoring from our experienced engineering team or access to a paid online course that you can complete during working hours as part of your onboarding. The exact form of support will be agreed upon based on insights from your selection process.

This role is open to candidates in Poland. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.
