We are looking for a Senior Front End Developer to work alongside our balanced agile delivery teams on highly complex DoD projects, specifically the development of command and control (C2) software. Hypergiant with its partners is building an innovative cloud-based command and control system that seamlessly integrates existing capabilities and provides automation that improves efficiency and effectiveness of mission planning and execution. A perfect candidate is able to write high-quality code, integrate with partner capability providers, and ensure code and product quality. This position will work alongside our development team and other capability providers on highly complex DoD projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain web apps and libraries that can be shared across projects.
  • Write high-quality code, ensuring excellence with unit tests when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, testers, project managers, product managers, and project sponsors.
  • Communicate tasking estimation and progress regularly to a development lead and product owner through appropriate tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of professional front end development experience.
  • Strong proficiency (5 years) in React, with a knack for architecting complex and high-performance applications.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture principles and advanced JavaScript concepts such as asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
  • Ability to develop organized, accessible, and performant applications using JavaScript, advanced CSS, and HTML.
  • Familiarity with WebGL-based libraries like Three.js, Deck.gl, and Mapbox GL JS.
  • Detail-oriented approach to user interface implementation, with a keen eye for design.
  • Proficient in version control, continuous integration / continuous delivery, and collaborative development workflows.
  • Eagerness to explore new technologies balanced with a pragmatic mindset.
  • Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Geospatial (GIS) experience
  • Typescript experience
  • Experience with software development for command and control or intelligence systems
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Ability to travel as needed

$122,200 - $158,800 USD
