Your Role and Impact

We’re looking for a Data Analytics Engineer with an Engineering Mindset to bridge the gap between raw data and business impact. You’ll work closely with data engineers, security experts, and product teams to extract meaningful insights, automate reporting, and optimize data pipelines that power security intelligence.

Your ability to design scalable visualizations, analyze patterns, and work with AWS-based data infrastructure will play a critical role in shaping HYPR’s data-driven decisions.

What you will do in this role

  • Design and build scalable data models which server as the basis of HYPR’s data strategy
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards and intuitive visualizations that clearly communicate trends, anomalies, and key metrics.
  • Work with a variety of stake holders to track and communicate key metrics across product usage, fraud detection, and operational efficiency.
  • Work with engineering to develop and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and analyzing large-scale security and authentication data.

Who you are

  • Technical & Analytical Blend – willingness to work at the intersection of data engineering and analytics
  • ETL & Event-Driven Architectures – Knowledge of structure, change management, and observability.
  • Data Proficiency – Strong ability to design, query, and organize large datasets (SQL, AWS Redshift, or similar).
  • BI & Data Visualization – Experience with QuickSight, Tableau or similar with a strong understanding of visual best practices for effective communication.
  • Data Pipeline Development – Hands-on experience with AWS data tools such as Lambda, S3, Kinesis, Redshift, API gateway and such.
  • Programming – Proficiency in either Java or Python language for data analysis, transformation and API interactions. A working knowledge of Java is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security & Authentication Analytics – Knowledge of fraud detection, risk scoring, or anomaly detection.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Data Privacy & Compliance – Understanding of regulations such as GDPR and their impact on data architecture
  • CI/CD infrastructure - Knowledge of build pipelines, creating and running test suites towards production stability

  • Full Time Opportunity: Yes
  • The core meeting hours for this position are from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Attendance is required for meetings scheduled between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. These meetings may be attended remotely via Zoom. Outside of these scheduled meetings, working hours are flexible. 
  • This position is a hybrid role. Employees are required to work in the office a minimum of two days per week—specifically Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The remaining workdays offer flexible remote options.
