The Role: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Recruiting Coordinator to keep our hiring process running smoothly as IonQ grows.  You will coordinate interviews, support candidates and hiring teams, and help run recruiting projects such as hiring events and our internship program. This role is ideal for someone early in their talent acquisition or HR career who is highly organized, enjoys working with people, and wants to help shape how AI tools are used to make recruiting faster and better.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews across time zones, managing calendars, interview panels, video links and on-site visits
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates regarding scheduling and any pertinent information regarding interview schedules
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in our applicant tracking system (ATS), including stages, and required documentation
  • Support recruiting events such as career fairs, university and veteran hiring events, and candidate open houses, including logistics, materials and follow-up
  • Help run the internship program: scheduling interviews, tracking intern cohorts, coordinating onboarding and supporting program events
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day work, such as drafting candidate communications, summarizing interview feedback and automating scheduling tasks, and share what works with the wider team
  • Identify manual steps in the coordination process and propose AI-enabled or automated improvements
  • Assist with recruiting reports, hiring metrics, audits and other Talent Acquisition projects as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR, People Operations or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with an ATS or HRIS (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, BambooHR, ADP)
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) at work, and interest in finding new ways to apply them
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a candidate-first mindset
  • Ability to prioritize many requests and work efficiently in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Experience supporting events or programs, such as internships, career fairs or campus recruiting, is a plus

The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.

If this role has a commission structure, the compensation range below just reflects the base compensation range.

Wage Transparency:

$65,000 - $85,000 USD

Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
