Staff Product Manager, AI
This is Product at Lattice
Lattice is a unified people platform - a full Talent Management suite covering performance reviews, engagement surveys, feedback, check-ins, goals, and career and compensation planning. Since 2016, we've grown to support over 5,000 customers globally.
We're now building the next generation of our AI-native product suite.
A note on what we're looking for
We're hiring a Staff PM to build the next generation of Lattice's AI-native product suite - and the role looks different than it did even two years ago.
Lattice is a trust-critical product. Performance reviews, calibration, comp, career growth - when AI shapes these, it shapes people's careers. That changes what good looks like: transparent, evidence-backed, and always with the user in control.
The PMs who do this well are two things at once: high-agency builders and high-EQ connectors. We're looking for both in one person.
What You Will Do
- Own a new area of our AI-native suite, from early product to broad adoption.
- Design systems, not features - the full loop from data capture to AI synthesis to workflows like reviews and calibration.
- Define what good AI looks like in a trust-critical product: transparent, evidence-backed, user in control.
- Partner deeply with Reviews, Grow, and Calibration so this becomes core to Lattice.
What You Will Bring
High-agency builder
You ship. You'd rather put a real prototype in front of ten users than perfect a deck for ten executives.
- 7–12+ years building complex, data-rich, or workflow-heavy products, including 0→1 work that's gone past launch into measurable, scaled adoption.
- Builder fluency. You're comfortable prototyping in code, working in design tools, and using modern AI tools (Claude, Cursor, coding agents) to accelerate your own work.
- AI-native instincts. You've shipped LLM-powered products where evals, prompts, latency, and model selection were daily concerns, not abstractions — plus judgment about when not to use AI.
- Sharp prioritization and product judgment. You identify the highest-leverage opportunities, focus a team accordingly, and defend your perspective on quality, trust, and UX when it's challenged.
- Comfort with data. You write your own SQL, read a dashboard, and pressure-test a metric without waiting for an analyst.
High-EQ connector
You raise the bar for the team - not by managing up, but by being the most clear-thinking, low-ego person in the room.
- GM-style collaboration across eng, design, data, legal, and GTM. You make the people around you better.
- Customer obsession. You stay close to customers, and their needs shape your decisions - not the other way around. You can get on a call with a skeptical buyer and make them lean forward.
- Trust-builder in high-stakes environments. You communicate clearly and consistently when stakes are high and timelines are tight. People want to be in the room with you when hard calls get made.
Very-Nice-to-haves
- Founder Experience or very early stage start-up experience, moving through ambiguity to make progress.
- HR tech, performance management, or internal tooling experience.
- Background in developer tools or structured data ecosystems.
