Contract, Remote

About Us

Modus Create is a digital consulting partner that helps ambitious organizations design, build, and modernize digital products, platforms, and AI-powered experiences. We work shoulder-to-shoulder with client teams to move from idea to production quickly and sustainably, with a clear path to scale.

Our teams bring product leadership, experience design, architecture, engineering, quality, and delivery expertise together in integrated pods. We partner close to the business, create clarity in complex environments, and focus on measurable outcomes, not just deliverables.

At Modus, Product Leadership exists to turn intent into outcomes. We create clarity in complexity, make tradeoffs explicit, guide teams toward measurable adoption and business impact, and help clients make better decisions as delivery moves forward.

Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Product Manager to serve as a trusted partner and extension of the Product Lead. This individual must be capable of independently driving initiatives from strategy through execution, taking ownership of complex product decisions, and ensuring successful delivery across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong product leader with prior experience owning and managing products end-to-end in fast-paced enterprise environments. They should be technically proficient enough to effectively collaborate with engineering teams, challenge assumptions, and make informed prioritization decisions, while also possessing the leadership presence to provide firm direction and guidance to stakeholders and delivery teams.

  • Partner closely with Product Leadership to drive strategic product initiatives
  • Take full ownership of product planning, execution, delivery, and ongoing optimization
  • Translate business requirements into actionable product roadmaps and priorities
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, business, and stakeholder teams
  • Provide clear direction, accountability, and guidance to delivery teams
  • Drive decision-making, remove blockers, and ensure alignment across workstreams
  • Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication
  • Balance technical considerations with business priorities and customer outcomes

Requirements

  • Proven experience owning and managing enterprise products or platforms
  • Strong product leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Technical aptitude and experience working closely with engineering teams
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Experience leading large-scale or complex product initiatives preferred
  • Ability to influence teams and drive accountability in matrixed organizations

Bonus Points

  • Consulting experience or experience working directly with external clients.
  • Experience supporting digital product builds, modernization efforts, enterprise platforms, or custom software delivery.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar product and delivery collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Experience defining adoption metrics, leading indicators, release readiness criteria, or post-release feedback loops.
  • Experience with process mapping, stakeholder mapping, decision logs, risk narratives, executive readouts, or delivery operating models.
  • Experience helping a team move from broad or unclear requirements into a structured backlog tied to outcomes, features, epics, stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience improving delivery flow in environments with complex governance, handoffs, dependencies, or competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve discovery, analysis, requirements clarity, documentation, delivery flow, or decision support.

You’ll Love This Role If:

  • You like being the connective tissue across product, project, business analysis, delivery, and client leadership.
  • You are comfortable leading through ambiguity without pretending everything is clear too early
  • You are friendly and collaborative, but not passive.
  • You are proactive without creating unnecessary noise.
  • You can read the room, spot unspoken constraints, and adapt your communication style to move work forward.
  • You enjoy creating structure, decision flow, and delivery rhythm in environments that need both discipline and tact.
  • You believe strong requirements, clear tradeoffs, and steady delivery cadence are what allow teams to move faster with confidence.
  • You care about adoption, usage, and business impact, not just shipped scope.

By joining our team, you’ll be part of a winning squad that plays to each other’s strengths and celebrates every success together.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
