About Monks

Monks is a global, digital-first marketing, technology, and creative consultancy operating at the intersection of creativity, media, data, and culture. In APAC, our 700-strong team spans 14 offices across 11 countries, connected by a single, unified operating model.

As pioneers in the AI digital media economy, we live an AI-first culture internally while helping enterprise clients shift from manual workflows to AI-native orchestration — scaling custom agent solutions (Monks.Flow), AI-driven campaigns, and next-gen AI search capabilities. By connecting brand strategy, media, data, and emerging technology around the consumer, we build intelligent platforms and content ecosystems for the world's leading brands. We foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace where authentic collaboration fuels industry-changing work.

The Role

Monks is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join a regional creative team producing rapid-turn editorial and marketing content. Working in close partnership with client stakeholders and a distributed global team, this role will apply established brand systems to polished digital and web-based deliverables while maintaining a consistently high standard of craft.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Figma, comfortable working within robust design systems and able to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual communication. You will be expected to work autonomously, move confidently within established guidelines and thoroughly review your own work before it advances.

An interest in AI, emerging technology and new approaches to creative production is essential.

What You'll Do

  • Design high-quality editorial, marketing and web-based assets using established brand guidelines, templates and component systems.
  • Translate complex technical and product information into clear visual hierarchies, diagrams, charts and supporting graphics.
  • Apply strong UX and web design principles across responsive digital layouts.
  • Work fluently in Figma, including shared libraries, components, auto layout, variables and approved plugins.
  • Adapt existing design systems thoughtfully while maintaining brand consistency across deliverables.
  • Partner with the Design Director, technical writers, motion designers and producers to bring briefs to life.
  • Interpret briefs and feedback independently, identifying gaps and asking focused questions when clarification is required.
  • Prepare organized, production-ready files that can be easily understood and continued by distributed teams.
  • Support clear, documented handoffs when work continues across regions or shifts.
  • Conduct thorough self-QA for content accuracy, alignment, spacing, typography, responsiveness, accessibility, specifications and version control.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly while preserving the integrity of the design system and approved direction.
  • Use approved AI and creative technology tools to support exploration, efficiency and consistency.
  • Maintain discretion when working with confidential and highly sensitive information.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in digital, visual, web or product design within an agency, technology company or in-house creative organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and experience working with shared libraries, design systems and workflow-enhancing plugins.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive web design and accessibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex information through thoughtful hierarchy, layout and visual storytelling.
  • Experience creating charts, diagrams, infographics and other visual representations of technical information.
  • Exceptional command of typography, composition, color, spacing and image selection.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to self-QA.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage rapid turnarounds and maintain quality when priorities shift.
  • Experience working effectively across regions, time zones and distributed teams.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in AI, emerging technology and production innovation.
