This is where you can learn from industry leaders and become one yourself. It's fast-paced, mission-based work that challenges the status quo. Be on the team that's changing the world.

What we’re looking for:

This role independently manages complex real estate and title deliverables for assigned third-party financings of Nexamp projects. It coordinates internal teams, external counsel, title companies, lenders, and other financing partners to keep transaction requirements complete, accurate, and on schedule. The role applies working knowledge of title insurance, real estate documentation, site control, and closing processes to assess issues, recommend practical solutions, and escalate risks that require higher-level decisions.

You will be hybrid out of our Chicago office where you will report to the Director, Financing Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Independently coordinate real estate and title requirements for assigned project financings, managing deliverables, dependencies, timelines, and follow-up across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and assess title commitments, proformas, ALTA surveys, title policies, estoppels, affidavits, resolutions, and related documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with investor and company standards.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison for title and real estate matters, translating requirements into clear next steps for Portfolio Operations, Finance, Legal, Capital Markets, lenders, title companies, and external counsel.
  • Identify title, survey, and site-control risks; develop and recommend practical solutions to moderate issues, escalate matters that could affect funding or schedule, and coordinate resolution with the appropriate owners.
  • Maintain financing-readiness tracking across assigned projects, monitor status and dependencies, and present clear updates on deliverables, risks, decisions, and next steps.
  • Coordinate resolution of documentation gaps and title or site-control defects through completion, ensuring stakeholders follow through and project financing requirements remain on track.
  • Maintain and enhance real estate/title workflows, templates, trackers, and playbooks; share process knowledge and provide informal guidance to team members and cross-functional partners.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or paralegal certificate; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • 4–7 years of relevant professional experience in real estate, title, property transactions, legal operations, project finance, or a related field, with direct exposure to real estate or title documentation and closing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple concurrent transactions, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain accurate, complete records.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and influence internal teams and external partners to achieve timely, compliant outcomes across complex transactions.
  • Experience assessing documentation or process issues, recommending practical solutions, and escalating risks appropriately.
  • Experience in renewable energy or project finance is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, title company, or financing environment is preferred.
  • Direct experience as a paralegal, title agent, or title examiner, with hands-on exposure to title commitments, surveys, and closing documentation is preferred.
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please apply.
