POSITION SUMMARY:
The Investment Specialist plays a critical role in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of investment strategies and client portfolios within a wealth management firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in the financial services industry while making a meaningful impact on the advisor and client experience. Key responsibilities include supporting daily operations such as backup trading, creating investment proposals, building investment models and individual portfolios, utilizing computer systems to support client relations, research, and due diligence. The Investment Specialist will also assist advisors with advanced trouble shooting challenges, conduct internal investment training sessions, and manage vendor educational meetings for the firm, as well as miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Success in this role requires exceptional customer service, strong time management, and the ability to manage administrative tasks with accuracy and professionalism, all while effectively communicating investment concepts to internal teams and external clients.
Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses /certifications or other knowledge, skills and abilities.
- FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses
- Minimum of 5 years of relative experience in investment analysis, portfolio management, or related financial services role.
- Experience with mutual funds, ETF’s, individual stocks and bonds, and alternative investments
- Strong understanding of investment concepts, asset allocation, and portfolio construction
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
