Staff Program Manager

Mountain View, California (HQ)

Who We Are

Nuro believes self-driving vehicles are the most immediate and profound opportunity for AI to drive positive change in the physical world. Safer streets, more time for what matters, and easier access to the world around us, that’s why we’re building a universal autonomy platform: self-driving for all roads and all rides.

Founded in 2016, Nuro is a physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology for a wide range of vehicles, use cases, and markets. Powered by the Nuro Driver™, our universal autonomy platform enables the global mobility ecosystem to deploy autonomy at scale, from robotaxis and logistics fleets to personal vehicles.

With years of real-world deployment experience and a flexible, partner-led business model, Nuro is working toward a future where millions of autonomous vehicles powered by our technology help make everyday life safer, easier, and more connected.

Nuro has raised over $2B in capital from Uber, NVIDIA, Google, Softbank, Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, and other leading investors.

About the Role

We are hiring a Robotaxi Program Manager to lead day-to-day technical execution of Nuro’s robotaxi partnership. This person will sit in our engineering organization and work across engineering, business, and external partner teams to make our initial deployment and following scale-up a success. This person will help define our critical path to launch in multiple new cities, track our performance, and manage resolution of issues both internally and externally.

The role is a good fit for someone who loves being at the center of a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing technical program. This successful candidate should be able to quickly ramp up on a broad range of technical topics, be comfortable leading meetings across all levels, is highly organized, and an outstanding communicator. We are looking for someone who is excited about autonomy (no previous autonomy experience required), enjoys learning about technical topics, and knows how to create simplicity and clarity in complex situations.

About the Work

  • Own technical program execution for Nuro’s robotaxi program - coordinating across external partners and our autonomy, hardware, and AI platform teams.
  • Build and maintain our critical path to scale up our robotaxis - milestones, dependencies, risks, and open items.
  • Identify issues early, help teams make tradeoffs, and drive problems to resolution.
  • Create clear updates for leaders on progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Build strong working relationships across Nuro and with external partners.
  • Use data and judgment to support decision-making and measure progress over time.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, program management, or business operations.
  • Engineering degree.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in person from Nuro HQ four days per week.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working on large partnerships or external-facing programs.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, autonomy, robotics, mobility, AI, hardware/software, or other technical industries.
  • Experience supporting launches, deployments, or scaled operational programs.

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package.
