Senior Director, Product Marketing & Growth Enablement

New York, New York, United States

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Director, Product Marketing & Growth Enablement to join our Marketing team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role:

The Senior Director of Product Marketing & Growth Enablement is a visionary leader who is responsible for building and leading a high-impact team. You will be the architect of our Go-To-Market strategy, sitting at the nexus of Product, Sales, and Marketing. Your mission is to ensure our sales and market teams are equipped with the story, the tools, and the localized strategy needed to win in a competitive landscape.

You will report into the Vice President, Insurance Marketing.

Work Location:

This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $218,592.00 - $286,902.00 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, and mentor a world-class team of product marketers, enablement managers, and field marketing specialists.
  • Lead the creation of core messaging frameworks and value propositions; ensuring consistency while adapting for regional or market-based nuances (e.g., specific state regulations or localized broker networks).
  • Act as the primary strategic bridge and product SME between the business and the Marketing organization. You will represent the "product story" to cross-functional leaders to ensure their strategies are aligned with product reality, while simultaneously quarterbacking the GTM engine within Marketing to ensure Brand, Digital, and Demand Gen efforts are perfectly synchronized with product launches and market-specific goals.
  • Partner with Product and Member Experience to build systematic feedback loops for employers, brokers, and members to ensure that the product's evolution matches the market's true needs.
  • Partner directly with the VP of Sales, SVP of Markets, and SVPs of Product (Technology and Plan Design) to align product roadmaps with buyer personas and sales targets.
  • Act as the primary strategic partner to the Sales and Markets leadership teams, ensuring marketing programs directly support market goals, account-based marketing (ABM) efforts, and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Lifecycle Marketing, and Market Leaders to localize messaging and ensure field teams are equipped with the right tools and content to win.
  • Partner with Community Activation, Sales, & Market Leadership to identify local sponsorship and promotional opportunities.
  • Develop and lead the end-to-end regional marketing plan, aligning local field activities with national-scale persona-based B2B and B2C marketing programs to drive pipeline growth and market penetration.
  • Transform competitive analysis into actionable "battlecards" and proactive strategy shifts that maintain market leadership.
  • Identify friction points in the sales cycles (commercial and direct to consumer) and craft comprehensive enablement programs. This includes deploying modern sales tools, high-velocity playbooks, and localized field campaigns. Crucially, you will lead the training and certification of all externally facing teams, ensuring they are not only equipped with collateral but are personally proficient in articulating the story accurately and successfully in the field.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Enablement, or GTM Strategy (Health tech, fintech, and/or highly regulated industries preferred).
  • Proven experience building a department from the ground up or merging disparate teams into a cohesive unit.
  • Ability to take complex technical and plan design features in a highly regulated environment and translate them into value-based narratives.
  • Expert at designing and leading high-stakes Voice of Customer sessions (Advisory Boards, Focus Groups) and standardizing Sales Training & Certification programs.
  • Proficiency in identifying, deploying, and optimizing the right technology and tools needed to measure the impact of enablement and marketing spend on the sales pipeline.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
