Location: Santa Clara (Picarro HQ) / Remote

The Opportunity:

Picarro is looking for an experienced and versatile Product Manager to drive both the strategic direction and tactical execution of our innovative environmental monitoring solutions. In this dynamic role, you'll bridge the gap between market needs and engineering development projects, ensuring our products not only meet technical excellence but also deliver significant value to customers across diverse industry segments.

 

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap Management:

  • Define and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management, integrating market insights, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.
  • Prioritize features and requirements to deliver impactful solutions addressing critical environmental challenges, including Ethylene Oxide (EtO) sterilization and Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emission monitoring.

Market & Customer Insight:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research, analyzing industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory landscapes.
  • Engage directly with customers and stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate feedback into actionable product requirements.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate market requirements into detailed product specifications and project plans.
  • Manage product development processes, from ideation through launch, ensuring alignment across engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, and customer support teams.

Product Launch & Go-To-Market:

  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging frameworks, and sales enablement materials.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to drive successful product launches, ensuring clear value propositions and targeted communication to diverse customer segments.

Performance Measurement & Optimization:

  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product adoption, customer satisfaction, and financial goals.
  • Continuously refine product strategies based on data-driven insights and market feedback.

Regulatory Expertise & Thought Leadership:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of evolving environmental and compliance standards, including EPA regulations related to EtO sterilization and VOC emissions.
  • Leverage regulatory expertise to guide product development and position Picarro as a thought leader in environmental compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in environmental monitoring technology, regulatory compliance, environmental services and consulting, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success managing products through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and growth.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and market analysis.

Bonus Points:

  • Familiarity with Industrial and Environmental Health and Safety.
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies and tools.
  • Prior experience managing products, solutions or processes related to EtO sterilization or VOC emission monitoring.

 

Salary & Benefits:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $130-160k, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location.
